The Boys: Every Upcoming Spinoff Show | Screen Rant

Amazon Prime Video is expanding its successful superhero franchise, and here is every upcoming The Boys spinoff show. Based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson, The Boys has become one of the biggest superhero shows on TV in recent years. Led by Karl Urban's Billy Butcher and Jack Quaid's Hughie Campbell, the series follows them and their crew, The Boys, as they attempt to expose the dark secrets of Vought's superhero enterprise, especially within the superteam The Seven.

Thanks to a weekly release model, The Boys' audience grew throughout season 1 as more viewers heard about the insane adult comic book series. This resulted in The Boys season 2 setting a new viewing record for an Amazon Prime Video original series. It catapulted the show to earning multiple Emmy nominations. Amazon is heavily invested in the continued success of the satirical series run by Eric Kripke, as a season 3 renewal was confirmed before season 2 even debuted. While The Boys often takes shots at the popularity of superhero shared universes, that hasn't stopped the series from expanding in several different ways.

On top of The Boys season 3, a companion podcast and aftershow, and the web series Seven on 7 with Cameron Coleman, Amazon is eying other ways to grow the franchise. Amid campaigns to make a Dawn of the Seven original movie, the streaming service is instead focusing on The Boys spinoff shows. These shows won't arrive until after The Boys season 3 is released, but there are some exciting properties on the way.

The first live-action The Boys spinoff in the works is meant to focus on the next generation of Supes. It is currently untitled but will focus on a group of young adults at Vought's superhero college. These new Supes compete against each other to land assignments in cities around America, but it'll also test their moral, physical, and sexual boundaries. The Boys' college spinoff stars Aimee Carrero, Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, Reina Hardesty, and Shane Paul McGhie. It is loosely based on the comics' X-Men parody known as the G-Men. There is no release date confirmed for the series, but The Boys season 3 will set up the spinoff.

Amazon is also developing an animated The Boys spinoff, officially known as The Boys: Diabolical. Each episode of the anthology show comes from a different celebrity, as Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot and Ilana Glazer, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, Aisha Tyler, and Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen have all created original stories. The eight-episode series is scheduled to debut in early 2022 on Amazon Prime Video and tell unique and twisted stories set in The Boys world.
