MBTI: 5 Genre Shows That ESTJs Will Love (& 5 They Will Hate)

When it comes to genre shows for ESTJs to watch, there are several shows that should fit their tastes and sensibilities. That said, the market is saturated with shows that go against the grain and that do not reflect ESTJs want for social order.

Their dedication is a strong point in their personality and more than likely they will want a show that reflects this. So, just what genre shows will ESTJs want on their must-watch list and what shows should they avoid?

10 Love: Westworld

Love it or hate it, either way, it is hard not to consider Westworld original. Every time that fans think they understand where this show is going, it completely jumps ship and becomes something altogether new and interesting.

This is precisely why ESTJs across the world are loving the experience and adrenaline rush it gives to so many of them. For something so out there as what Westworld is, it still feels so organized, which is a trait that will appeal to ESTJs everywhere.

9 Hate: Money Heist

ESTJs are not against a good heist series if it is one that ups the stakes and is successfully run. While also displaying characters that are loyal to each other. It is this comradery between the characters that will ultimately keep ESTJs passionately watching.

Unfortunately, ESTJs are all about order and this heist series is more about creating order from chaos but ultimately falling just short of it.  Also, those with this personality type usually aren't interested in shows that are unconventional by creation.

8 Love: Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy has proven itself to be a rating behemoth. It strives to make captivating characters, placing them in life or death situations and allowing those characters to shine. Besides, who doesn't love a good medical show from time to time?

Especially one that involves so many tantalizing relationships as what this show brings to the table. ESTJs will enjoy the characters off of Grey's Anatomy's dedication to saving lives and the loyalty they show towards each other and their patients.

7 Hate: Batwoman

The CW has produced some of the best comic book superhero television shows ever produced. That said, Batwoman isn't one of them. It starts off trying to distance itself from the more popular Batman but as ratings began to slip, it fully embraced the one thing it worked so tirelessly to free itself from.

ESTJs will hate this show because of its inability to stand on its own. Batwoman completely lacks an identity and for the most part, uses another superhero's fame to stay on the air.

6 Love: The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian has proved to be a breath of fresh air after the disappointment that many Star Wars fans had over the sequel trilogy. The Mandalorian has everything those movies did not. A fresh protagonist who wasn't all-powerful and omnipotent in every way, while also being quite interesting with a shaded past. The side characters are fun and reliably interesting.

ESTJs will love how the protagonist in the series tries to bring order back to a galaxy full of lawlessness.

5 Hate: Riverdale

Riverdale has so many things going for it when it comes to character development and ratings. However, it also suffers from bouts of far-fetched schemes that only appear in superhero flicks along with over-sexualized characters that border on repetitiveness on a weekly basis.

To be honest, there just isn't that much originality in this show. So for ESTJs, they will find the characters of this show who are constantly trying to break from the norm to be a mess that they wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole.

4 Love: Gotham

The fictional city of Gotham can sometimes appear to be a mess with its high crime rate and dreary landscape. Especially when compared to cities like Metropolis that are so full of hope and sunshine.

Gotham might not be known for its order but it is the hope that Jim Gordon brings in Gotham that such order will soon be restored in a city that is so crime-infested with gangs and supervillains. This proposition of orderliness that the main protagonist brings will catch the attention of ESTJs.

3 Hate:  Rick And Morty

There is no denying that Rick and Morty have an avid fan base who admires its odd take on the world around the characters involved. It intentionally questions ideas and norms that others take for granted and that is precisely what makes this particular show unique, even in a time where groundbreaking shows are a dime a dozen.

Sadly, ESTJs will despise it simply because it lacks a thorough plan for forming coherent thought along with its unconventionality when it pertains to the norms of society.

2 Love: Hell On Wheels

If there is one thing that ESTJs respect it is a well-oiled machine that understands how to make a good profit off of sheer boldness. Shows that follow a plan and stick to it, while continuing to move forward, rather than backward are the very shows that ESTJs will want to see.

That is precisely why Hell on Wheels will be so appealing to their sensibilities. Entrepreneurs taking on a vast landscape searching for untold treasures and adventures will be right up their alley.

1 Hate: Stranger Things

Stranger Things might be an award-winning phenomenon that millions of fans around the world adore like few other shows that have come before it. Unfortunately, ESTJs will find the whole take of a world beyond ours as unnatural and scary. Something that is out of order and that can't be controlled.

ESTJs despise things that are unconventional making this one of the last shows that would be on their must-watch list. Plus, ESTJs difficulty expressing emotion makes them immune to Stranger Thing's jump scares.
