90 Day Fiancé: Times When Fans Accused Yara Zaya Of Being Shallow

Many fans have accused 90 Day Fiancé star Yara Zaya of putting things like style, beauty, and money over everything else. While it is no secret that popular reality TV stars love to flaunt their money and beauty, they sometimes overdo it. Yara first featured on 90 Day Fiancé season 8 with Jovi Dufren and quickly became one of the most popular stars. While some fans loved her fashion sense and admired her beauty, others thought that she was annoying. They also found her ungrateful for all of the good things in her life. Yara complained about her comfortable life in the United States and said that her home country looks much better. Since most 90 Day Fiancé viewers are Americans, she ruffled some feathers with her remarks.

In one of the episodes, the 26-year-old beauty talked about her desire to own a $27 million penthouse. She told Jovi that she wants the famous Kar-Jenner family members to be her "best friends ever." As if wanting Kim, Kylie, et al as her BFFs was not enough, she also jokingly said that she was in the market for a new beau. Yara mentioned that she would like to have the 36-year-old professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo as a husband. While her statement was certainly designed to amuse her audience, some people felt that her remarks showed her shallow and materialistic side.

The first notable incident happened when Yara bragged about her car in mid-2021. Yara posted a few stories on Instagram to show off her Audi purchase. In one of the stories, which featured Jovi test driving the car, the Ukrainian native expressed that she wouldn't settle for anything but an Audi Q7 or Q8. She added, "Don't call me a gold digger. I'm making money, okay?" Many 90 Day Fiancé fans took offense to the way that she flaunted Jovi's purchase as her own, possibly to get views. One viewer stated, "Complains when he has to go to work for a month or 2 at a time, but no complaints when he buys her things. Hmm. Weird." Another critic replaced Yara's name from the original caption and wrote, "Jovi is buying an Audi."

Yara is always seen having petty fights with her customers online. She slammed one of her potential customers for not being able to afford her clothes. A fan inquired about Yara's expensive clothes (via @almondmilkpending), "Why charge those kinda prices for these clothing? That's just ridiculous price knowing you can get the same jacket from Walmart for like $30.00." Yara could have simply explained why her clothes are expensive, but instead she replied, "The material of this jacket is just the highest quality but you were never know because you're can't afford, that's why you're mad." Instead of addressing the customer's doubts, she made fun of her, which isn't the best thing for a business owner to do.

Fans usually compare her glamorous Instagram image to her TV persona, which is strikingly different. The 90 Day Fiancé star Yara was accused of showcasing a fake lifestyle on social media. One viewer talked about this issue and commented, "Many men & women from former USSR countries act exactly like Yara. It's like they're overcompensating & feel very insecure about their poverty-stricken backgrounds." Yara genuinely seems like a good person, but her condescending social media antics give her a bad name. If she opts for being more natural, kind, and empathic, she can influence more 90 Day Fiancé fans in a good way.
