Bachelorette: Everything to Know About Chris Lambton's Political Career & Wife Peyton

Ali Fedotowsky may have had the kindest group of final three men in the history of the show during her run as The Bachelorette, and runner-up Chris Lambton was no exception. What is he up to now?

On Monday, The Bachelor will continue Greatest Seasons - Ever! with a look back at one of the least controversial Bachelorettes. The most notable scenes from Ali's season had nothing to do with anything she did wrong. There was Justin, the professional wrestler who had a girlfriend back home. As soon as she found that out, Ali sent him packing. And then there was Frank, who Ali has since admitted she would have chosen in the end, if not for him realizing at the final three that he still had feelings for his ex. In the end, Ali chose Roberto, the man she gave her first impression rose to and always seemed the most smitten by. Though they are no longer married, Ali has since gotten married and Roberto got engaged. But what happened to Chris, the man Ali broke up with shortly before proposing to Roberto?

According to a story on the Today from last year, Chris became a politician after appearing on The Bachelorette. Many fans will remember his Cape Cod roots, and that's where Chris ran for office, in the town of Dennis, Massachusetts. He was elected to the board of town's board of selectmen. Chris has also since married another contestant from the franchise, Peyton Lambton, formerly Peyton Wright. She was on Andy Baldwin's season of the show.

Chris may have made a good Bachelor himself, and likely would have been able to bring at least something different to the table then the man they chose after Ali's season. That's because instead of selecting Chris or Frank or anyone else from Ali's cast, the show decided to give Brad Womack another chance. It, well, didn't turn out all that well.

But then again, most couples don't last in the Bachelor universe. That's why Chris' ability to translate his on-screen showing to success in his hometown and lasting romance should be commended. He joined the franchise at the perfect time, right before Instagram became a big deal and contestants started going on the show to gain followers. He appears to be living a comfortable life, without feeling compelled to use his platform to address all the drama engulfing the Bachelor franchise at the moment.
