This morning, Bravo confirmed that Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute would not be returning to Vanderpump Rules after fellow cast member Faith Stowers revealed that they reported her to the police for a crime she was not involved in. Stowers shared that Schroeder and Doute saw a picture in The Daily Mail of an African American woman wanted for robbery and told the police that it was Stowers. She further explained that the woman in the photo didn’t look like her and that the woman had distinctive tattoos. Schroeder and Doute were original cast members, appearing on all eight seasons of Vanderpump Rules. Two new cast members, Max Boyens and Brett Caproni were also let go after their racist tweets surfaced.
On her Instagram, Ashley Martson responded to Schroeder and Doute’s firing with an accusation of her own. Her caption reads, “Did y’all see Bravo fired two girls for racist comments. Well @bravotv don’t leave out old Jax Taylor who harassed us when our show first aired.” She posted a screenshot of a comment Taylor had left on a picture of her husband, Jay Smith (who is Jamaican), that read, “Your mans nose is the size of his head…” as well as a screenshot of an article from the time where she accused Taylor of stalking her. Some fans in the comments seemed skeptical and defended Taylor, but Martson was shown love from Perez Hilton and many, many others. She responded kindly to fans who said they didn’t understand why the comment was offensive, offering to explain it to them, and clapped back quickly at those who outwardly disagreed with her. One response read, “You’re reaching girl!” to which Martson replied, “Am I? Good reach for that unfollow button.”
Taylor has also been linked to the incident with Schroeder, Doute, and Stowers. He tweeted in response to a fan question about Stowers in 2017, “Shes wanted by the police for grand theft auto and ‘awol’ from the military, bad idea to be on a reality show dude. Someone’s going to jail.” Bravo executives were asked this morning if Taylor would also receive punishment, but had no comment. In light of the 90 Day Fiancé star’s Instagram post, Taylor might be joining Doute and Schroeder in the cast out Vanderpump Rules stars.
