Scorpios are water signs who are loyal friends, tend to keep secrets, and are good in a crisis. They can do what needs to be done and they're always full of courage. Scorpios stick up for themselves and love to debate, so they're definitely going to be into horror films. Well-crafted scary stories are totally their thing.
But at the same time, many horror flicks will be boring to Scorpios, who don't want to watch people just passively sit there and have things happen to them. Here are five horror movies that Scorpio signs will love and five that they're going to hate.
10 Love: I See You (2019)
Factual information and finding out the truth are things that are important to a Scorpio. That's why they would love the movie I See You, which was released in 2019. Helen Hunt stars as a woman who starts noticing that weird things are happening around her house. Silverware disappears and a window breaks. In the meantime, a young boy is nowhere to be seen.
To say more would be a major spoiler but there's a twist halfway through that explains everything that is going on. I See You is a movie that ties a bunch of loose ends together in a bow, and it works nicely. Scorpios will like seeing all the pieces come together.
9 Hate: Head Count (2018)
The 2018 movie Head Count sees a young man become involved with a group of friends who are staying at a house in Joshua Tree. Scorpios value friendship so they might be interested in seeing this movie, but as soon as they watch a bit more, they won't want to continue.
The characters realize that there's a supernatural figure nearby, but no one really seems to know what to do. It's hard not to see these young adults as passive people who are just waiting around to see what happens. That's going to annoy Scorpios.
8 Love: The Ring (2002)
Seeing as how Scorpio signs have no problem digging until they learn what's really going on, they're going to want a horror movie that features a character who does just that. The Ring and its sequel (but not the third movie, which isn't very good) will be right up a Scorpio's alley.
The Ring and The Ring Two are both contemporary classics that tell the story of a woman and her son trying to discover antagonist Samara's history and stop her from harming them.
7 Hate: I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016)
Ruth Wilson of The Affair fame also stars in the 2016 horror movie I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House. She plays a nurse working for a writer who realizes that the writer's house is totally haunted.
As a rule, Scorpios probably aren't going to love haunted house movies. They tend to be about people who stumble upon the supernatural, and that's not active enough for brave Scorpios.
6 Love: Halloween H20 (1998)
The 1998 entry in the Halloween franchise brings back horror star Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, who is now living with her son, John (Josh Hartnett), in California. When it becomes clear that Michael Myers is back, the characters all band together to get out alive.
Scorpios will love this movie, which lives up to the 1978 original in terms of quality and a sophisticated ye creepy tone. This zodiac sign loves seeing people go after what they want and save themselves.
5 Hate: Sorority Row (2009)
The 2009 horror movie Sorority Row is another one that Scorpios will hate. It's about sorority sisters who want to cover up a death, which would be gruesome enough, but there's also a killer who is after them.
Scorpios are courageous and independent, so they want to see that reflected in the main characters of a horror movie, and they're not going to get that here. The sorority girls aren't very dimensional or heroic.
4 Love: Haunt (2019)
Haunt is a terrifying horror movie about friends who enter a haunted house on Halloween and definitely wish they had never stepped foot in there. What starts as a twisted and dark version of this Halloween ritual becomes legitimately evil.
The main character, Harper (Katie Stevens), soon realizes that she's fighting for her life, and her journey throughout the film is inspiring. Scorpios will love her and want to pat her on the back for her courage and quick thinking.
3 Hate: Scarecrow
The 2013 movie Scarecrow stars Robin Dunne and Lacey Chabert as a former couple who find themselves stuck in a barn literally hiding from a killer scarecrow. They're with a group of high school students as well, and none of the characters stand out from one another.
No one is able to really fight back or come up with a solid plan, which will frustrate Scorpios to no avail.
2 Love: The Perfection (2018)
The Netflix horror movie The Perfection isn't for the faint of heart. It's tough but fascinating examination of musical prodigies that plays around with timelines and keeps the viewer guessing.
Since the movie features strong characters who fight for what they feel they deserve, the motivations behind their actions will make a lot of sense to Scorpios.
1 Hate: Before I Wake (2016)
Scorpio signs aren't known for being as touchy-feely as other zodiac signs, but they are water signs and, therefore emotional. They will get way too invested in the horror movie Before I Wake, which involves a family dealing with the supernatural.
It's an excellent movie but will be too much for this sign, who will get upset watching young Cody (Jacob Tremblay) try to stay awake so he doesn't suffer from terrifying nightmares.
