In a preview for the Love Is Blind reunion episode, it showed Amber Pike confronting Jessica Batten for her flirting with Matt Barnett. Amber called Jessica out for being "fake" as well. The love triangle was a focal point for their storyline which created plenty of drama as Jessica would oftentimes flirt with taken Barnett behind Amber's back.
Netflix opted to release a dating reality show of their own called Love is Blind. The hypothesis of the show is for singles to try and find a significant other to fall in love with; the only catch is the singles must do this without ever laying eyes on one another. Viewers watched as the couples tried to form an emotional connection without the interruption of physical attraction during intimate meetings in their own pods. Netflix is veering from its usual layout and releasing each episode in chunks instead of the first season at once to keep their audience wanting more.
The audience followed the love triangle between Amber and Jessica, from the moment the two women decided they both were going vie for Barnett’s attention. For Netflix’s new overnight hit, Love is Blind, fans were included in the messy web spun by Matt Barnett as he tried to entice three women during the pod dating sessions. Barnett first spoke with Amber, then Jessica, and lastly LC. The young man used his flirting skills to tempt all three into liking him, but he did not know who he wanted to continue a relationship with. For a short period of time, fans are led to believe that he would propose to Jessica but in the end, he chose Amber. Jessica was left devastated as the night before she had ended it with, Mark, who was left blindsided and damaged. While in Mexico having their "honeymoon" after the engagement, Amber and Barnett hit the hot tub while Jessica started to pick fights with Mark and make him feel insecure as she kept saying she did not want to make their relationship physical. Amber decided to confront Jessica about flirting with her man, Barnett, while deglecting her own engagement to Mark, check out the preview clip below (via @loveisblindtea).
After Amber watched the footage for herself, she decided to confront Jessica about the issue with Barnett and the intensive flirting. During the reunion, Amber came across as a bit aggressive saying she asked Jessica what the “hell” did she think she was doing by consistently throwing herself at her husband. Amber did note that Barnett had spoken with her about leading Jessica on and realized he should not have spoken to her in a flirtatious manner when he had no desire to be with her. While she claimed she trusted Barnett, she was angered when she saw Jessica flinging herself at him which led her to call the 34-year-old "shiesty" and "fake."
Jessica continued to be roasted by Amber who also believed she was an ingenious person who had no self-control and needed to grow from the experience. Barnett made no eye contact and just scratched his head as if he were confused as to how he got himself to this sticky situation, (hint: it was your flirting.)
Love is Blind reunion episode airs Thursday, March 5th on Netflix.
