Where Meghan Markle May Move To In Vancouver, Canada For $21M

Meghan Markle is considering moving to $21 million Vancouver, Canada waterfront home. It seems that even though this former royal member is not longer royalty, she still wants a home fit for a queen.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided in January 2020 to publicly announce that they were taking a break from their royal duties to pursue other interests closer to their hearts. Both Meghan and Harry have spent their adult years championing causes close to them. They share a mutual fondness for the continent of Africa, where they've both spent extensive time advocating for education and AIDS research respectively. However, the couple was met with a bitter backlash due to the surprising manner in which they chose to announce the plan. Reports soon leaked that it was a frustration with the British press and its racially biased and prejudicial reporting of the Duchess of Sussex that contributed to the lifestyle change. The Royal Family ultimately discussed what Harry and Meghan's new life would look like, laying out a plan to allow the couple to live part-time in Canada and the rest in the UK. Therefore, finding a home for their family that is both safe and comfortable is key.

Although the Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently completed renovations to their home at Frogmore cottage, The Sun reports that they are Vancouver-bound. A source close to the property says that the house is a real gem in Kitsilano, which is a renowned and highly desirable neighborhood in Vancouver. The house is 108-years-old and boasts four levels, walkout-view side terraces, as well as six bedrooms and five bathrooms. A neighbor, Stephanie Carros told The Sun"This street - particularly on this side, looking over the water - is the pièce de resistance of Vancouver." She continued, "I’d be good with it! But I think people here are pretty low key about celebrities."

The public outcry against Meghan and Harry's attempts to distance themselves from the Royal Family should lessen. After audiences see that this small family aims to make the world a better place through their non-profit work and activism for various causes such as education, mental health, and aid for veterans. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also internationally noteworthy people, so the likelihood that they would leave royal life to take up in a one-bedroom flat is also ludicrous. Many wealthy people live in beautiful homes that are ostentatious by public standards.

However, The Sun's coverage of the story implies that it's all Meghan's decision to move there - that it's a house she's set her sights on, and a decision she's made and Harry and Archie can come along if they want. It's no wonder that the couple has decided to remove themselves as fodder for such headlines. Good luck to them on their new life as a family in Vancouver, Toronto, or wherever their hearts take them.
