With that said, it's time to get excited about animation future; Here is every Warner Bros. Animation film set to be released in 2020.

8 Superman: Red Son

The first movie to be getting a direct-to-video release is this upcoming Superman feature, based on the comic book miniseries of the same name.

The story will see a young Superman crash-landing his rocket on a collective farm in the Soviet Union. Here, he begins fighting for the values held by the Communist Party. His mission grows more complicated, however, as issues begin to rise around the world as he attempts to claim nations for the country in which he got his start.

Jason Isaacs is set to voice Superman while Roger Craig Smith will be portraying Batman. Superman: Red Son rising will be available digitally on Feb. 25, and on March 17, it will be headed to Blu-ray and DVD.

7 Scoob!

Ruh-roh! The Scoopy-Doo film series is getting a reboot.

Though not much is known about the future of the franchise beyond the forthcoming Scoob!, we do know that in this film, viewers will solve the mystery of how Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Scooby-Doo got together in the first place. Additionally, the team will attempt to uncover the secrets behind Cerberus, a ghost dog that is at risk of becoming resurrected.

The comedy-adventure is releasing in theaters on May 15. Its voice cast includes Frank Welker, Will Forte, Zac Efron, Gina Rodriguez, and Amanda Seyfried.

6 Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

At the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that 2017's Justice League Dark would be receiving a 2020 sequel. That sequel is Apokolips War.

The original film had Batman getting together a group of superheroes to take on supernatural enemies. Fans speculate that the New Gods of Apokolips and New Genesis will be involved in this series installment, though no further details on the plot have been announced.

Because of its darker leads and themes, the first movie earned itself an R-rating, and it's possible the sequel will get this as well.

While you're waiting for the story to continue, you can stream the spin-off web series Constantine: City of Demons on CW Seed.

5 Superman: Man Of Tomorrow

Superman: Red Son isn't the only animated 2020 film to star the Man of Steel. Superman: Man of Tomorrow will also be flying toward viewers this year.

Man of Tomorrow, based on the original Superman narrative, will focus on the hero's early years as he adjusts to living in and saving his city.

Though no firm release date has been announced for Man of Tomorrow, it will be releasing after Red Son and Justice League Dark have been made available.

4 Lego DC Shazam: Magic And Monsters

Though DC Comics hero Shazam! got his own live-action film in 2019, he will be able to add an animated LEGO film to his resume in 2020.

Additionally, another LEGO spin-off called The Billion Brick Race is currently in development.

3 Scooby-Doo! In King Arthur’s Court

Gamers, rejoice! The Mortal Kombat videogame series is getting a new direct-to-video release.

Warner Bros. recently revealed that the film will be R-rated and features the voices of Joel McHale as action star Johnny Cage and Jennifer Carpenter as commander Sonya Blade.

While there aren't many other details on this project right now, there are more details on the future of the series; Mortal Kombat is set to get an additional theatrical live-action released on Jan. 15 2021. It is speculated that Scorpion's Revenge will premiere in the first half of 2020, though this hasn't been confirmed.

1 Tom And Jerry

Lastly, the classic Tom and Jerry cartoons will be headed to the big screen around Christmastime.

Tom and Jerry will combine live-action and animation to display a story in which a young woman teams up with Tom to keep Jerry from causing her unnecessary trouble.
