Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot played herself in The Simpsons season 30 premiere "Bart's Not Dead," auditioning for the role of Lisa Simpson in a Christian movie about Bart's brush with death. Emily Deschanel (Bones) also guest-starred in the episode as herself, auditioning for the role of Marge Simpson.
We first learned that Gadot was booked for a Simpsons guest role back in February, when Gadot excitedly announced that she would be voicing herself in a show that she had grown up watching. "Bart's Not Dead" kicked off The Simpsons season 30 on Sunday night with a story about Bart jumping off a dam on a dare and landing on a ledge instead of in the water. To escape a scolding, Bart claims that he had a near-death experience where he saw Heaven and Jesus (who, according to Bart, thinks that Reverend Lovejoy's sermons are too long). Upon hearing of this miracle, a group of Christian producers offer to bankroll a movie about Bart's experience - which means casting famous actors as members of the Simpsons family.

Flanders naturally gets involved in making the movie, and tells Gadot "You've got the part!" as soon as she introduces herself. However, Homer struggles to remember movies that she's been in, and upon being told that she plays Wonder Woman retorts, "As soon as I see the DC logo I immediately fall asleep" (ouch). Gadot disappoints Homer yet again when she refuses to let him use the Lasso of Truth to kidnap Gene Hackman and force him to play Homer in the movie. Later, Gadot annoys Lisa with her inaccurate portrayal, which includes offering the whole family hamburgers.
Before the episode aired, Gadot took to social media to share a picture of herself in her "Lisa" costume for the movie:
