Dragon Ball Fan-Comic Shows Hilarious Way One Fighter Could Beat Cell

A hilarious Dragon Ball Z fan comic recreates the dramatic fight scene from the Cell Games that puts the Android in an embarrassing demise. Since his first arrival to Earth from future Trunks ' timeline, the all-powerful Cell has been a thorn in the Z-Warriors' sides. After his defeat by Gohan, some fans theorize the return of Cell in the upcoming movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes.

The Cell Saga was a popular arc in Toriyama's Dragon Ball that brought out the best (and worst) in characters along with new Super Saiyan forms. Cell's arrival caught the group by slight surprise, although having already trained for three years thanks to Future Trunks' warning. However, the timing forced a few warriors to take on the Imperfect Cell alone to stall time for Goku and others to arrive from training. One of those fighters to take on the Semi-Perfect Cell was three-eyed martial artist Tien who used the Neo Tri-Beam attack to keep the villain at bay.

On Twitter, one fan art comic strip from @ransu_33 recreates this moment between the two fighters but with an adorable twist from the destructive Android. The fan art shows Cell running playfully towards Tien with his hands out in the same gesture the fighter uses to activate his Tri-Beam. The unknowing Imperfect Cell innocently rests his face into Tien's hands like the adorable pet videos, only to be met with a deadly blast. A preferable outcome to the Cell saga that left Dragon Ball fans dying of laughter from the art and guessing the translation of Tien's enthusiastic speech bubble.

The Kikōhō or Tri-Beam is a special attack Tien masters after his former training with Master Shen. The technique uses both Ki and life force energy to create an explosion blast in which the user must clasp their hands together in a triangle. The method has two forms: the Tri-Beam and Neo Tri-Beam, both Tien uses in several fights throughout Dragon Ball. Unfortunately, like most powerful techniques, there are drawbacks to the user's life energy. Nevertheless, Tien successfully held Cell down just in time for Androids 16, 17, and 18 to escape, but not without fainting shortly after.

Tien could only hold off Cell by the element of surprise and catching the Andriod at a distance with his long-range attack. The fan comic pokes fun at having Cell come to Tien instead of Tien firing his blast at a distance. Although Tien wasn't the one to defeat Cell in Dragon Ball Z, the fan art is a hilarious rendition of the Cell Games and its conclusion.
