The developer of Rocket League has announced a new car, the BMW M240i, will be added to the game later this week. The free-to-play vehicular soccer game pits cars against each other to score the most goals per match, with a host of different Rocket League vehicles available for players to choose from.
Psyonix has confirmed the arrival of Rocket League's new BMW in a blog post and trailer, showing off the car in action. According to the developer, the BMW will feature a torching rocket boost and a Dominus hitbox, and will be available for a limited time only, priced at 1100 Credits. The BMW M240i will include signature wheels, the Thundernight Metallic Decal, the color-changing United In Rivalry Animated Decal, the Bavarian Hat Topper, and the BMW Player Banner. Purchasers will also be able to customize the BMW with other Rocket League items. Rocket League players will be able to purchase the in-game car through the Item Shop, beginning November 4.
The new Rocket League vehicle is yet another popular car for players to add to their collection. Previous limited-time releases have seen James Bond's Aston Martin, Knight Rider, and even three Batmobiles added to the game in the last few months alone, offering new incentives for fans to jump back in the driver's seat. Even more cosmetics are expected to be added to Rocket League in the future, with the game showing no signs of slowing down since switching to the free-to-play model in 2020.
