Princess Switch 3 New Cast & Returning Character Guide

The third installment of Netflix’s The Princess Switch movie series, The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star, is now available to stream, and here’s who plays who in this new story. Netflix has become known for its original content, and it wastes no time in getting the Christmas spirit going, and every year it adds more original Christmas content to its catalogue, to the point where it has built its own connected Christmas universe. A big part of it is The Princess Switch, a rom-com that has spawned two sequels, the most recent one being The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star.

Directed by Mike Rohl, The Princess Switch 3 reunites viewers with Princess Stacy Wyndham of Belgravia and Lady Margaret Delacourt as they prepare to host an international Christmas festival in Montenaro, for which the Vatican loans the Queen one of their most priceless treasures for display: the Star of Peace. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned and before the festival concludes, the Star is stolen and the police have no leads. To prevent a diplomatic crisis, Stacy and Margaret turn to their old nemesis, Lady Fiona Pembroke, for help, and before long, they discover that the Star is being held in the collection of a wealthy, corrupt businessman.

Of course, The Princess Switch 3 sees the return of a couple of characters from the previous movies, but there are also some new faces that play important roles in this new adventure – and here’s the cast and character guide for The Princess Switch 3.

Vanessa Hudgens reprises her three roles from the previous The Princess Switch movies: Stacy Juliette De Novo Wyndham, Lady Margaret Katherine Claire Delacourt, and Lady Fiona Pembroke. Stacy, Princess of Belgravia, and Margaret, now Queen of Montenaro, prepare for the Christmas celebration in the latter’s kingdom, but when the Star of Peace is stolen, they find themselves forced to ask Fiona, Margaret’s cousin with a criminal past, for help. But as this is a Princess Switch movie, they all end up switching places at one point to help the other, and not just when it comes to getting the Star back. Vanessa Hudgens rose to fame when she played Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical movies, and other notable roles include Blondie in Sucker Punch, Candy in Spring Breakers, Brooke Winters in The Knight Before Christmas, and Karessa Johnson in tick, tick… BOOM!.

Remy Hii plays Peter Maxwell, a disgraced former Interpol investigator who now runs his own private security firm and is also Fiona’s ex-boyfriend. Peter will be key in finding out who stole the Star and how to get it back, but Fiona’s feelings for him might get in the way of the mission. Remy Hii played Van Tuong Nguyen in the TV series Better Man, Hudson Walsh in Neighbours, Prince Jingim in Marco Polo, Sam in Sisters, and Simon Van Reyk in Harrow, as well as Alistair Cheng in Crazy Rich Asians and Brad Davis in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Sam Palladio returns as Edward Wyndham, Prince of Belgravia and Stacy’s husband, who will once more see his wife switching places with her lookalikes. Sam Palladio is a musician and actor, and he’s best known for playing Gunnar Scott in the TV series Nashville, Stoke in Episodes, and Ed in Humans. On the big screen, he played Calvin in 7 Lives, Shecky in Runner Runner, and voiced Roland in Strange Magic.

Nick Sagar reprises his role as Kevin Richards, Margaret’s husband and thus now Prince of Belgravia. After their improvised wedding at the end of The Princess Switch: Switched Again, Margaret and Kevin are now living together in Belgravia, and just like Edward, he will see his wife switching places with Fiona in order to get the Star back. Nick Sagar’s acting credits include Detective Alonzo Loya in Queen of the South, Victor Aldertree in Shadowhunters, and Rip Roar/Russell Rogers in Supergirl.

Will Hemp as Hunter Cunard, a sophisticated hotelier: Will Hemp played Henry Stuart in Reign, Mitch Saunders in Spinning Out, Blake Collins in Step Up 2: The Streets, and Tom Arnolds in Slumber.

Amanda Donohoe as Bianca Pembroke, Fiona's mother and Margaret's aunt: Amanda Donohoe’s most notable roles are Cara Jean Lamb in L.A. Law, DI Susan Alembic in Murder City, and Amanda in Liar Liar.

Mia Lloyd as Olivia Richards, Kevin’s daughter and Margaret’s stepdaughter: Mia Lloyd’s acting credits aside from The Princess Switch are the TV miniseries Flesh and Blood and The Duchess.

Ricky Norwood as Reggie, one of Fiona’s assistants: Ricky Norwood played Fatboy in EastEnders and its spinoffs.

Florence Hall as Mindy, one of Fiona’s assistants: Florence Hall played Georgina in the TV series Lovesick and Matilda Stone in Queens of Mystery.
