Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Ronnie Ortiz Magro's relationship with his fiancé Saffire Matos is reportedly "on the rocks." Ronnie has a history of toxic on-again off-again relationships. Fans have watched his past toxic, and at times abusive, relationships with his exes Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Jenn Harley throughout the seasons of both the original series as well as the spinoff show.
Now, fans have been watching his latest relationship with Saffire unfold. The two began quietly dating in 2020 before later announcing it on social media. Then, in April of this year, Ronnie was arrested for a domestic violence case involving Saffire. He was later released on $10,000 bail. Both he and Saffire stepped away from the spotlight for quite some time following the incident. Upon their return to social media, fans were shocked to learn the couple had stayed together. Two months later, Ronnie and Saffire shocked everyone with their engagement news.
Just five months into their engagement, Ronnie and Saffire's relationship is already suffering. An inside source revealed to In Touch that Ronnie and Saffire's relationship has been "on the rocks for the past few weeks." Although all couples tend to get into fights every now and then, it is different for Ronnie and Saffire. The source said, "They get into fights just like normal couples would but sometimes their fights get really bad, which leads to them separating and spending time apart." In the midst of suing his ex Jenn over their Las Vegas house, Ronnie has been dealing with drama with Saffire as well.
As of writing, Ronnie and Saffire are reportedly not together; however, they have not called it quits for good. The source claimed, "They are sorting it out privately." Both Ronnie and Saffire want to make their relationship work despite the recent drama. Although they are working out their relationship issues in private, Saffire has deleted nearly all of her Instagram posts which featured photos with Ronnie. The couple has also unfollowed each other on social media. In addition to this, Saffire has been spotted without her massive diamond engagement ring. This automatically led to talk of a breakup between the two.
It is no surprise to longtime Jersey Shore fans that Ronnie and Saffire are once again taking a break from their relationship after getting into a heated fight. Since Ronnie has stepped away from filming for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation due to his most recent arrest, it is unknown if fans will get the inside scoop on their relationship as they would have if Ronnie was still on the show. On the other hand, Ronnie recently claimed that he does in fact intend on returning to the show sometime throughout season 5.
