Far Cry 6: How to Get the FAL ¡Viva Libertad! (Unique Weapons Guide)

The FN FAL (Light Automatic Rifle) ¡Viva Libertad in Far Cry 6 is a Unique Weapon primary, it is part of the assault rifle class and has "Libertad" Decal painted on it. The FN FAL will be located in Isla Santuario, Vencejo, Punto Norte Lighthouse on the Far Cry 6 Main Map. The location of the weapon can also be revealed during Operation "Libertad Rises" at the beginning of the game.

It will be inside the wooden, red-orange, overgrown shack next to the Punto Norte Lighthouse. After entering the overgrown shack, directly to the right side on the ground will be a Yaran Contraband Box. Open it to unlock the FN FAL ¡Viva Libertad! Assault Rifle. Keep in mind that there is a Resolver Workbench next to the Yaran Contraband Box, making it harder to locate on the mini-map.

The FN FAL ¡Viva Libertad! is an assault rifle equipped with Soft-Target Rounds Ammo Upgrade in Far Cry 6 and a Resolver Laser Pointer. Soft-Target Rounds work extremely well against Yaran Soldiers with no armor, regular and predator animals. Soft-Target Rounds do not work well against Yaran Soldiers with Armor or Vehicles. With the Resolver Laser Pointer, ¡Viva Libertad! can be used to hip-fire at close-range with better precision than its stock counterpart.

The ADS (Aim Down Sights) has clear circular iron sights, making it one of the few weapons in Far Cry 6, that can be handled well at Medium - to Far ranges without a Red Dot Sight or ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight). The rifle comes with 3 different firing modes, Full-Auto (fully automatic), Burst (3-bullet firing sequence), and Semi-Auto (single bullet firing sequence). With its clear ADS, ¡Viva Libertad! can handle well in Full-Auto, but recoil kickback will need to be controlled during firing. Burst firing mode creates a controlled rate of fire, for more precise shots. And Semi-Auto firing mode has little to no recoil kickback, very useful for long-range engagements.

Where it falls short is the 20 round magazine size, smaller than most assault rifles in Far Cry 6, and Soft-Target Rounds. Even with increased damage against unarmored Yaran Soldiers, their damage buff provides little to no difference against armored soldiers over Standard Rounds. The FN FAL ¡Viva Libertad! assault rifle is a 5/10. Works well in certain situations, but struggles in most.
