All Elden Ring Network Test Start Times | Screen Rant

A select number of players will have an opportunity to try Elden Ring hands-on with the network test that is being held from November 12 to November 15. Though the network test is somewhat akin to a beta, players won't have free rein over the select preview content over the long weekend. Instead, the Elden Ring network test is quite structured, offering five different three-hour windows to hop into the game and check out FromSoftware's latest outing.

Elden Ring has had a significant amount of excitement built up around it, owing largely to a long period of silence from the developers following its announcement over two years ago. This network test comes rather early since the game isn't expected to release until February of 2022. Nevertheless, fans are eager to try out a vertical slice of Elden Ring, and some have taken the opportunity to sell Elden Ring network test codes for hundreds of dollars. Publisher Bandai Namco gave the general public an opportunity to sign up for the network test, but only a certain number of hopefuls were selected.

For those that were lucky enough to receive a code through their email, the Elden Ring network test version is currently available to download on their selected platform. The game is able to be launched, and the main menu music can be heard (or at least placeholder music), but the servers won't go live until the allotted time slots for the network test. Trying to log into the Elden Ring servers only produces an error message. Once the network test goes live, players will have five Elden Ring character classes to choose from, some of which appear to have gear better than that typically seen on starting characters in FromSoftware games.

There will be five different windows from Friday, November 12, to Monday, November 15, 2021, for those selected to play the Elden Ring network test:

  • Friday, November 12: 6am EST/3am PST - 9am EST/6am PST
  • Friday, November 12: 10pm EST/7pm PST - 1am EST/10pm PST
  • Saturday, November 13: 2pm EST/11am PST - 5pm EST/2pm PST
  • Sunday, November 14: 6am EST/3am PST - 9am EST/6am PST
  • Monday, November 15: 10pm EST/7pm PST - 1am EST/10pm PST

The network test is expected to drop players into one of Elden Ring's earlier areas but still provide enough freedom to experience its open world and dungeons. Players will likely get to see some of the areas showcased in the preview of Elden Ring's gameplay, complete with multiplayer functionality. It should also be noted that the Elden Ring website warns that the network test schedule is subject to change, or could even be canceled entirely, but the latter seems unlikely barring the Elden Ring network test suffering a catastrophic issue.
