More than two years have eclipsed since Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea bested the competition to win Love Island UK Season 5. The beloved couple forged a genuine bond, which was cemented when the two chose to split the money and pursue a post-Island romance rather than keep the money for themselves and walk away alone.
Of course, with the passage of time and the social distancing required by the mandatory lockdown due to the global pandemic, it has not been easy to remain in a committed relationship. By most accounts, the Love Island UK Season 5 couples have had a pretty rocky road since departing the show.
9 Tommy & Molly-Mae - Together

In an apparent match made in heaven, the extremely likable couple of Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague is still going stronger than ever in 2021. The two finished in second place on Love Island after remaining together for over 50 days without ever wavering from one another.
After becoming an official couple on the show, the two have taken their romance to the next level (per Cosmopolitan), including discussions of marriage and children. The two celebrated their two-year anniversary in July and enjoyed a cozy camping trip together just three weeks ago, which Molly-Mae was sure to share on her mega-popular Instagram page.
8 Amber & Greg - Split

Love Island UK Season 5 winners Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea captured the hearts and minds of viewers despite pairing very late in the series. Alas, the two failed to last more than a few weeks after leaving the island. According to The Sun, Greg callously broke up with Amber via text message.
Greg sent the bad news over the phone five weeks after the two won Love Island, citing busy schedules and the need to focus on his career as the primary reason for their separation. Considering how charming Greg was on the island, the insensitive move blindsided fans of the show.
7 Curtis & Maura - Split

As one of the best, cutest, and most compatible Love Island couples, Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins seemed poised for long-term happiness by finishing in a respectable 4th place. Alas, the two only endured 8 months following the show before calling it quits (per Cosmopolitan). Maura announced their split on Instagram after rumors of Curtis' infidelity began circulating.
Since splitting, the memorably quotable Maura Higgins began dating fellow Islander Chris Taylor, who had been paired with Harley during Season 5. After six months of dating, Maura and Chris also broke up in May of 2021.
6 Ovie & India - Split

Ovie Soko appeared hopeless after Anna left him to be with Jordan, leading to a dramatic pairing with Casa Amor bombshell India Reynolds. Ovie and India showed enough chemistry and commitment to score a solid 3rd-place finish. According to the Daily Mail, after declaring themselves "exclusive" on Love Island Reunion and "official" at the TV Choice Awards, Ovie and India split after four months together.
Much of the tumult came from perpetual rumors of India's so-called infidelity. However, the two decided to split amicably, with India telling journalists at the Bride of Britain Awards that the process was "difficult."
5 Joe & Lucie - Split

Joe Garratt and Lucie Donlan paired on day one in the villa and lasted together for 16 days until the former was dumped. Although Lucie partnered with Anton and George, she returned to Joe after leaving the island herself. According To The Sun, the two split for a second time after "growing apart."
Once the split was made public, Joe was spotted getting close with Season 5 winner Amber Gill in a nightclub (per Daily Mail), which further put his relationship with Lucie in the past. The distance between London and Cornwall also played a factor in the split.
4 Anton & Belle - Split

Once Anton Danyluk and Belle Hassan paired on day 30, the two remained faithful to each other until they were both dumped from the popular reality dating show 26 days later. Despite making a valiant effort, the two called it quits just five weeks after leaving the villa (per The Sun).
A rift developed when Anton went on a holiday in Ibiza with his lads, with Belle calling his behavior disrespectful to their relationship. In confirming the split, Anton told Scottish Sun Online "we're not together anymore, it's as simple as that. That's it."
3 Danny & Jourdan - Split

Danny Williams and Jourdan Hammond were one of the last couples in the villa who lasted a whole six days together before being dumped from the island. Even so, they decided to move in together once the show was over. However, according to The Sun, Jourdan broke things off when Danny was caught gallivanting with other women all night long.
When Jourdan confronted Danny about his potential wandering eye, he dismissively broke into laughter, indicating his lack of a serious commitment. Jourdan's post-island behavior aligns with his time in the villa, as he treated Yewande in a similar fashion.
2 Chris & Harley - Split

Chris Taylor and Harley Brash were late villa entries who paired up for just one week before being dumped from the island. As mentioned, Taylor ended up forging a romance with fellow islander Maura Higgins when he and Harley split after a week together (per The Sun). They became the first Love Island Season 5 couple to end their romance.
Citing a frivolous summer fling as the reason for their dashed fling, Chris went on to pursue a relationship with Maura until the two ended things after six months. The break-up was mutual and amicable and there were no hard feelings between the two.
1 Anna & Jordan - Split

Once Anna Vakili dumped Ovie to be with Jordan Hames, it seemed like she found her ideal match. Then, after a romantic day together in the villa, Jordan had his head turned by India hours after he asked Anna to be his girlfriend, prompting Anna to rightly criticize his immature game playing.
Once they left the island a week or so later, Anna and Jordan predictably ended their romance. According to The Sun, the break-up resulted in Anna's tearful breakdown. Nowadays, Jordan is reportedly dating Ex on the Beach star Chloe Ferry.
