RHOBH: Garcelle Beauvais To Star In Movie Produced By Whoopi Goldberg

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais is slated to star in a new film that will be produced by legendary actress Whoopi Goldberg. Just like she's always been, Garcelle is currently booked and busy. Not only is she a full-time cast member in the hit Bravo series, but she is also one of the main hosts on the talk show The Real. Besides those two permanent gigs, Garcelle is also being offered different acting opportunities from time to time.

While her professional life outside of RHOBH is thriving, she has expressed how she feels isolated by the group of housewives. Garcelle, who will be returning next season, admitted on last week's new episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that she sometimes feels like an outsider within the cast. Not only is she the only Black woman in the group, but she feels like the other women have created a strong bond without her involvement.

According to THR, Whoopi Goldberg will be executive producing a Lifetime movie with the 54-year-old as one of the stars. The film, called Caught In His Web, is inspired by one of the first "sextortion" cases in the US. Besides Garcelle, the movie will also star Alison Thornton, Malia Baker, and Emma Tremblay. While the film doesn't have an exact release date, the publication did reveal that the movie will premiere sometime in 2022. It is unclear if the movie has already been filmed or if Garcelle, who said Erika was honest at the reunion, will starting filming soon. This film is another milestone for the reality star.

Prior to this new film, Whoopi executive produced and starred in the movie A Day Late and a Dollar Short in 2014. She also executive produced the 2000-2006 drama series Strong Medicine. Now, she and Garcelle are ready to work on the new film Caught In His Web. The premise of the movie centers around Alison, Malia, and Emma's characters, who are all tormented by a cyberbully named Blake. Once Blake is able to hack into their computers and phones, he tricks them into sending him nude photographs while also harassing and tracking them everywhere. The three ladies then discover they aren't the only ones who were deceived by this man. As a result, they reach out to a police detective, who will be played by Garcelle, to uncover Blake's identity and end the harassment.

Now that Garcelle will have another movie on her resume, she might be busier than ever. It seems like her acting career is only taking off from here. Here's to hoping that the RHOBH ladies won't make a fuss about her showing up to events once filming for the next season begins.
