Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Player Creates Hilarious Loading Screen Tip

One Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild player has some choice advice for Link on his latest adventure. Nintendo's beloved open world adventure game is still going strong two years after its launch, and fans are still finding new and interesting things to do within the vast open world of Hyrule.

Some of these side activities are well within the confines of Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, with players tracing the iconic Triforce symbol with their footsteps or coming up with creative ways to acquire the legendary Master Sword earlier than planned. Others involve the use of mods to transform a seemingly straightforward quest to rescue Princess Zelda and save the kingdom from the evil Calamity Gannon into an insane mash-up of outside properties like Shrek and Toy Story. Overall, there is a lot to do in Breath Of The Wild, so much so that it’s easy for a would-be hero to lose track of the world-saving task at hand.

Reddit user notabotornot has a special message for said heroes, which they posted to the Breath of the Wild subreddit in the form of a Photoshopped loading screen yesterday. notabotornot jokes that they got this message after completing one of BOTW’s many side quests, with the on-screen text telling them to “quit screwing around” and “get their priorities straight.” “You’re supposed to be saving Zelda, not trying to collect Hetsu’s Golden Turd. You haven’t event freed any of the Divine Beasts for crying out loud.

Zelda fans are currently looking forward to the upcoming Breath Of The Wild sequel, though Nintendo is keeping this project under such a tight veil of secrecy that even the game’s official title is still unknown due to potential spoilers. In the meantime, fans have been coming up with their own theories on what the tentatively titled “Breath Of The Wild 2” will be about, with some suspecting that the story will feature a young Ganon before his rise as the dark-magic empowered scourge of Hyrule.

There will undoubtedly be more to do once the Breath Of The Wild sequel arrives sometime next year, so Link should probably drop whatever random side quest or mod-related shenanigans he’s currently up to and get back to saving the world as notabotornot’s custom loading screen advises. On the other hand, half the fun of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild comes from the many side activities Link can get lost in on his way to the Master Sword, and in the little details that can be found in-game, such as a realistic bit of AI behavior programmed into the game's sheep. With all these distractions, fans can be forgiven for straying off the beaten path.
