Big Brother alum Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo have welcomed their first child together. Not long after leaving the Big Brother house for the All-Star season last summer, Nicole became pregnant. In January, the couple shared the exciting news of their first pregnancy together. Two months later, they finally tied the knot after being forced to postpone their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nicole and Victor are one of the few successful couples to come out of the show. Although they were not in a showmance together while competing during season 18 of the show, they remained friends outside of the house. After dating for quite some time, Nicole and Victor returned to the Big Brother house together during season 20. While making their cameo appearance, Victor proposed to Nicole in the backyard where they first met. Now three years later, the two are starting a family together.
On Friday, July 23, Victor announced the arrival of his and Nicole's first son, Victor "Arrow" Arroyo IV, via Nicole's Instagram page. He shared a precious photo of Arrow holding Nicole's finger over the side of the hospital crib. Victor started off the lengthy post by explaining that Nicole wanted him to update her followers for her. He and Nicole are very grateful for all of the kind messages and prayers that have been sent their way. The two became parents at 8:01am on Friday morning. Arrow was born weighing 6 lb. 15 oz., and measuring 20 inches. Both Nicole and baby Arrow are "healthy and doing great."
As anticipated, Nicole had a C-section delivery. Earlier this month, she revealed in one of her pregnancy updates that the Big Brother alum's baby was actually breached. This led doctors to schedule her for a C-section delivery, even though they continued to try different techniques in an effort to help the baby flip. Since Nicole did in fact have a C-section delivery, it is assumed he never did flip to the proper position. Despite the change of delivery plans, everything went smoothly for Nicole and Victor. Victor even admitted that he and Nicole were actually "fighting over" Arrow. They are also "taking [their] skin to skin time super seriously."
Neither Nicole nor Victor have shared a photo of their baby yet, aside from his tiny finger. On her Instagram Story, Nicole shared an adorable video of Arrow dressed in a knit lion outfit as Victor held him up to the window for their family to see him for the first time from outside of the hospital. Although Nicole had Victor post the baby announcement on social media for her, she has in fact been quite active on her Stories since giving birth. Congratulations to both Nicole and Victor. The Big Brother family continues to grow.
