Bachelorette: Katie Mocks Critics Who Shot Down Her Latest Promo

The Bachelorette's Katie Thurston had some choice words for anyone offended by the new promo for her upcoming season. Always an outspoken advocate for feminism, Katie was ready to defend the humorous sexual innuendo in the tagline for her season. Love it or hate it, Katie's season is going to be anything but boring.

Katie was chosen as Bachelorette in part due to her firm opinions and morals that she expressed on Matt James' season. She was at first seen as kind of a joke for bringing a vibrator with her on the first night of the show. Fans nicknamed her "vibrator girl," but soon became intrigued by Katie's strong belief in supporting other women and, of course, her sense of humor. Her playful nature but serious attitude towards what she believes in soon made her a fan favorite. Katie was selected to be The Bachelorette for the first of two 2021 seasons, with Michelle Young's season following in the fall. The first promos for Katie's season didn't go over especially well with fans because of strange wardrobe choices. However, this latest one caused a bigger controversy.

ABC released a new promo photo for Katie's season yesterday, confirming that the season will start airing on June 7. The photo of Katie sitting casually on the floor playing with a rose was accompanied by a brand new tagline. It reads, "See what all the buzz is about," a joke about her bringing a vibrator to Matt James' season. Katie posted the photo on Twitter, joking, "Good vibes only." ABC's Instagram post was captioned "buzz buzz," while the official Bachelor In Paradise Twitter account playfully captioned it, "Time to unwind," with a winking face emoji. Some fans were skeptical about the tagline, eager to forget that Katie started her Bachelor career as the girl with a vibrator.

However, Katie is here for the playful tagline, and doesn't mind people talking about her self-care habits. She reposted an old Tik Tok video on her Instagram Story, where she states, "If you don't love me at dildo girl, you don't deserve me at I do." The haters can take the hint from the video; Katie is only paying attention to people who love her for her. This attitude reportedly came in handy while filming her season, which wrapped early because of her strong decision making. People working on production confirmed in reports that Katie knew what she wanted, and she didn't hold back.

Katie's outgoing personality is what drew viewers too her, so this season shouldn't disappoint any of her fans. While the show is still deep in controversy due to Chris Harrison's departure, Katie will breathe some fresh air into the series. Audiences are looking forward to embracing their new Bacheloretteand a new chapter in the franchise.
