Karen Everett made her reality television introduction on season four of 90 Day Fiancé when her American daughter Chantel Everett fell for Dominican Republic native Pedro Jimeno. Now, the protective mother just wrapped up season two of The Family Chantel. How is Karen doing apart from her TV appearances?
Chantel and Pedro's relationship became a storyline fans eagerly followed due to all its drama. Karen and her husband, Thomas, immediately established themselves as no-nonsense parents. Karen, in particular, was especially hard on Pedro during 90 Day Fiancé and season one of the family's spin-off show. While Thomas was more likely to cave and please his daughter, Karen held her ground and earned herself a reputation as a fierce mama bear. Season two of The Family Chantel saw the family turning their suspicions on her son Royal's fiancé and eventual wife Angenette. Karen's strong presence in her the dating life of her offspring has helped her carve out a distinct image and marketable brand on TLC.
The Atlanta native hasn't posted on her Instagram since October. But before that, she was open about her various ventures. The mother of Chantel, Royal, Winter, and River earned herself a TLC spin-off show called Ask Mama Chantel. It started airing on Facebook Watch in fall 2020. The Clark Atlanta University graduate has also been involved in other projects. She refers to herself as an “achievement ambassador,” “famous published author," “public speaker” and #businessowner in her bio. Additionally, Karen continues to thrive in her successful marriage. One thing that was apparent on both 90 Day Fiancé and The Family Chantel is how much Thomas loves his wife. The proud papa always remained her strongest supporter throughout family disputes. There is no indication their relationship is any different off-screen.
The mother of four has come a long way since accusing Pedro of "harvesting" the American dollar by becoming engaged to her daughter and moving to the United States to work. She has built a successful career on reality television and has become a fan-favorite personality on The Family Chantel. To see what the overprotective mother will get up to next, fans will have to wait for confirmation of a third season of the hit show.
