Following Janelle Pierzina and Kaysar Ridha's eviction from Big Brother 22: All-Stars, the fans are revisiting those pregaming allegations involving Cody Calafiore and Memphis Garrett. It was week one on BB22 when Cody won the first Head of Household competition and held a one-on-one meeting with Memphis. There were early intentions of nominating Janelle and Kaysar, which they reacted to by playing the Safety Suite competition. Once their safety was guaranteed, Cody turned his target to Keesha Smith, who he claimed not knowing. After all, he spoke about not watching Big Brother 10... which is the season Memphis was in.
When put together, Cody's understandable unfamiliarity with Keesha and random allegiance to Memphis raised some red flags for the fans watching the Big Brother 22 live feeds. If Cody never watched BB10, where did his inherent trust of Memphis come from? Over the weeks, however, the viewers were distracted by different circumstances. Janelle mentioned a few times that she had spoken to Daniele prior to the season. She also mentioned phone calls with Dan Gheesling, who was assumed to be involved with the alleged pregame. The fans started to wonder if they had all pregamed to a certain extent... but, in hindsight, that theory just doesn't seem to hold up.
Some Big Brother: All-Stars fans think that pregaming is fair because the real challenge is to put that plan into motion. If the allegations are true that Derrick Levasseur and Dan Gheesling were somehow involved in a pregamed strategy, the more obvious beneficiaries of such planning would be Memphis, Cody, and Nicole Franzel. While some are quick to point out Janelle's phone calls to Dan and Dani, there is literally no indication of those conversations translating into the game. She thought Dani was a friend and that they could trust Memphis. Janelle even thought that she and Nicole were in good terms given that she was invited to Nicole's wedding. In turn, Kaysar had long, life-changing conversations with Cody, Memphis, and others... but kept hitting a wall when trying to build relationships with them.
When a wall yeller exposed Cody and Nicole's game to the Big Brother 22 house, the fans were angered by the fact that the season had outside influence. But the interesting part is that most people were quick to move past that incident, with the exception of Ian Terry and Tyler Crispen, who had been suspecting that something was up for a very long time. At this point, Cody is even exploring the idea of backdooring Dani... who has arguably been his biggest ally in the game. All in all, it's starting to look even more suspicious that less than a handful of houseguests are constantly targeting certain people for small infractions while also protecting other people who technically have been major players thus far.
The BB fandom is very protective of the show's integrity, as it should be. However, it's getting harder by the day for fans to look past certain game alliances and rivalries that defy all logic.
Big Brother 22: All-Stars airs Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8pm EST on CBS.
