Rick And Morty: 5 Times Interdimensional Cable Was Hilarious (& 5 Times it was Disgusting)

It's no secret that Justin Roiland – Rick and Morty's co-creator and voice actor – went as far as to get drunk during one of their voice acting sessions. Therefore, it is not hard to see where the series' dedication to toilet or nihilistic humor comes from; needless to say, the fans love it and it makes Rick and Morty stand out compared to other adult cartoons.

What would seem the pinnacle of Justin Roiland's voice acting are the Interdimensional Cable skits of Rick and Morty. Viewers have Rick to thank for introducing the twisted shows of parallel universes to the family. While some of them are iconic and hilarious, others are rather traumatizing or downright stomach-churning...which isn't to say they're bad. Here are five examples of each.

10 HILARIOUS: The Adventures Of STEALY

Blindsiding the viewers with unapologetic dark humor is Rick and Morty's forte and it's at its best during one of the Interdimensional Cable shows called The Adventures of Stealy. He's an alien being who happens to live alongside humans in their cities, which is disastrous.

Mr. Stealy is a savage kleptomaniac and his whole show is dedicated to how much theft he can get away with each episode. The highlight of his "career" was when he had to knock out an office manager with chloroform and steal him.

9 DISGUSTING: ANTS IN MY EYES JOHNSON

Outlandish circumstances are what make up the bulk of the Interdimensional Cable skits and sometimes, some of them are downright cringe-worthy or trigger some hair-raising stimuli in the human brain. In this case, it is Ants in my Eyes Johnson, who's name is very accurate.

Apparently, that's only possible because he can't really feel anything and then proceeds to burn himself on a stove during a commercial for his store while people in the background steal all the appliances.

8 HILARIOUS: BABY LEGS

Rick and Morty is well-known for making full episodes that parody fandoms and fictional tropes. They had their chance to do this for detective/cop duo drama shows thanks to Interdimensional Cable's Detective Baby Legs.

As Baby Legs is a physically underqualified but mentally overqualified detective all because of his underdeveloped legs, his show set him up with the inexperienced but more physically able Regular Legs. It's pretty much any cop duo in existence except their legs are their personalities.

7 DISGUSTING: BUTTHOLE ICE CREAM PARLOR

While one could potentially mistake chocolate-flavored ice creams or sweets for feces in an appropriate-enough environment, Rick and Morty took this to the extreme by making the ice cream parlor's ice cream come out of what appear to be human butts.

It's a joke that many people probably thought of a thousand times while eating chocolate ice cream back when they were five years old and the germs of all the world didn't concern them. Hey, it's a good way to abstain from ice cream.

6 HILARIOUS: GAZORPAZORPFIELD

Speaking of crass or toilet humor for Rick and Morty, it seems Gazorpazorpians have it the roughest. Turns out they also have their own Garfield, who's appropriately named Gazorpazorpfield and is as neurotic and as violent as the dimension's males.

What's weird is that Gazorpazorpfield's owner is another male Gazorpazorpian who is oddly soft-spoken and peaceful even as the alien cat throws all kinds of expletives and racial slurs his way as a method of saying he wants to be fed. Also, his owner may or may not be voiced by Bill Murray, whichever you prefer.

5 DISGUSTING: EYEHOLE MAN

In another twisted dimension that somehow speaks the English language, "eyeholes" are anatomically different. They appear to be snotty detachable eyes that also double as sexual foreplay organs that can kiss with other eyeholes while dripping with mucus...

Thankfully, the Eyehole Man butts in and interrupts the Eyehole couple before they could ruin anyone's idea of reproduction. No one wants to see that; well, almost no one.

4 HILARIOUS: LIL' BITS

Lil' Bits is one interdimensional skit that might make someone question what the showrunners were thinking when they came up with it. The result is gut-bustlingly nonsensical.

Lil' Bits is but a simple restaurant or food service that shrinks food so that people with tiny mouths can eat them, as cutting the food was never a logical option. What makes the skit work is the host seems to be unhinged or going on a sustained LSD spree.

3 DISGUSTING: STRAWBERRY SMIGGLES

There aren't many instances where Rick and Morty dabbles into body horror or excessive gore, but when they do, the showrunners make it so that viewers will have nightmares about it. That's what happened to the St. Patrick's Day Leprechaun who was advertising the Strawberry Smiggles cereals.

He got more than he bargained for after a couple of dead-eyed psychotic kids cut open his stomach and entrails just to eat the Strawberry Smiggles that he was already digesting, using the blood and intestinal fluid as the milk. It doesn't get darker than that, not even in cartoons like Mr. Pickles.

2 HILARIOUS: TWO BROTHERS

It was only a matter of time before Rick and Morty took a jab at Michael Bay's movies. How the show did it was nothing short of epic and explosive, as two brothers who are totally not based on the Bad Boys take on all manners of un-American terrors.

That includes old women, alien armadas wielding tomato guns, meteorites, giant cat monsters, and tornados. It's nothing they can't handle, of course, because these two brothers have a weapons-grade bond. It's also just called "Two Brothers," which sums up their shenanigans well enough.

1 DISGUSTING: MRS. SULLIVAN

If someone thought the Strawberry Smiggles skit was more than macabre enough, then their memory probably just blocked out the Interdimensional Cable show involving Mrs. Sullivan. She's a dead elderly cat lady whose rotting corpse was merely being controlled like a puppet by her cats.

This didn't stop Mrs. Sullivan from getting a boyfriend who finds her beautiful and makes love to her, decomposing maggoty carcass and all. That's true love as portrayed by Rick and Morty; here's hoping viewers have a barf bag nearby.
