Lucifer: 10 Things Fans Need From Season 5 | ScreenRant

The fantasy crime show Lucifer has quickly become a fan-favorite shortly after the release of the first season back in 2016. Loosely based on the comic book series by Mike Carey and Neil Gaiman, the show took the Lord of Hell himself and placed him in modern Los Angeles when he helps to solve crimes, flirts with people, and discovers what it means to be human.

The show was originally canceled after its third season but Netflix picked it up and this year, a fifth season will premiere. There's a lot of questions the upcoming season could answer, so here are 10 fans the fans need from season five.

10 Lucifer's Return From Hell

The final episode of the fourth season saw Lucifer return to hell, the very same place he escaped at the beginning of the series and wanted to stay away from possibly forever.

Lucifer returned to stop the demons from wreaking havoc on Earth and to control them. However, there most likely wouldn't be a story to tell if Lucifer remained in hell so he'll most likely find a way to escape it once again.

9 The Gang Goes To Get Him

Even if Lucifer does return to Earth in the fifth season, it won't probably happen right away, though. Since the upcoming season has the tagline - See you in hell - it's possible that it will show the fans more of Lucifer's life in hell.

So perhaps instead of Lucifer coming back to Earth, his friends could go to hell to get him back? It would definitely make for an adventurous trip and a memorable one as well, for both the characters and the audience.

8 Eve Gets Together With Maze

Eve and Maze were a great duo in the fourth season and their friendship lead to an unexpected confession when Maze revealed that she's in love with Eve. Unfortunately for Maze, Eve was too blinded by her crush on Lucifer to see it.

However, that could change in the fifth season now that Eve's finally realized she doesn't need Lucifer to be happy. There are certainly a lot of fans who would love to see these two badass heroines as a couple.

7 Linda And Amenadiel Raise Their Child

When the show started, probably no-one expected that Dr. Linda Martin and Lucifer's brother Amenadiel would become a couple - least of all Linda and Amenadiel themselves.

But that's exactly what happened and they now have a son together, a half-angel half-human boy named Charlie. Raising an angelic baby can be no easy task, but it could lead to some pretty funny moments so hopefully, the fifth season will show more of this couple's family life.

6 Maze Babysitting Charlie (And Trixie)

Maze is a badass demon who works as a bounty hunter. She's the last person - sorry, the demon on Earth whom people suspected of being good with children or even like them in the first place.

But there's more to Maze than meets the eye and she actually seems pretty determined to be a good aunt to Charlie since both Linda and Amenadiel are her friends. Plus, she has a close friendship with Chloe's daughter Trixie so it'd be hilarious if Maze ended up babysitting both Charlie and Trixie.

5 The Revelation Of Lucifer's Vulnerability

Lucifer usually can't be hurt, at least not by any earthly means. The only exception is Chloe - when he's in her presence, he can be hurt and he can bleed.

It hasn't been explained why yet and if the fifth season is indeed the last one, as it might be, the fans would be overjoyed to finally learn the real reason for why Chloe makes Lucifer vulnerable. It's already been explained that she wouldn't be born if it wasn't for Amenadiel blessing Chloe's mom, but the remaining details still remain fuzzy.

4 Fighting Demons

Maze is one of the good demons but not all of them are like her. Each season of the show had a big baddie, one who threatened the very existence of the characters. Now it seems that the position will go on to the demons who want to make the Earth into their playground.

That could lead to some pretty juicy fight scenes with the heroes (and Lucifer) taking down as many demons as (in)humanly possible. It's not a stretch to assume that Maze, of all people, would have no problem with taking down some of her fellow demons and the other characters could very well follow her lead.

3 Lucifer Ruling Hell

Lucifer ruled his night club with an iron hand but so far, the fans haven't really seen what he's like when he's ruling the demons and the entire hell.

What exactly does his work entail and is he a merciful ruler or a cold and distant one? It'd be good to see some moments from Lucifer's day-to-day life in hell, and his treatment of those who are doomed to spend the eternity in misery.

2 God Appears

To say that Lucifer isn't too fond of his dad would be an understatement. He blames God for casting him to hell and trying to manipulate his life. There was a moment when it looked like Lucifer's dad would make it onto Earth but instead, his mom came.

However, even though it might be a controversial step for one, it'd be nice for both Lucifer and the fans to see Lucifer finally deal with his dad and confront him about all the issues he has.

1 Lucifer And Chloe Get Together

Finally, the number one thing the fans need to see in the upcoming season can be nothing else than Chloe and Lucifer getting together. The show has been teasing this for a long time and just when Chloe finally confessed her love for Lucifer and said those three magic words, Lucifer left for hell.

It'd be cruel not to give them the chance at happiness they both deserve, however, their path to love and romance most likely won't be easy.
