Beyonce is Marvel's Storm in Comic Fan Art | Screen Rant

The X-Men are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point, so eventually, they will need to cast the role of Storm. The weather-controlling mutant is a key member of the superteam and seems destined to play a huge part in however the MCU decides to introduce the X-Men. Even though rumors were debunked that Beyonce was joining Black Panther 2's soundtrack (after working on Black Panther's first soundtrack) we thought we'd share a great piece of fan-art that imagines the Grammy Award-winning singer as the Queen of Wakanda.

Storm is an integral part of the X-Men, serving as the team leader and mentor to new mutants. The character has appeared twice in live-action as she was played by Halle Berry in the original X-Men trilogy and X-Men: Days of Future Past, while Alexandra Shipp played the role in X-Men Apocalpyse and Dark Phoenix. With the X-Men coming to the MCU, a new Storm will almost certainly be cast at some point. Artist Kevin Wada imagined what Beyonce might look as Ororo in the role back in 2014.

Wade, who's a talented watercolor painter and artist, is one of the best in the business at doing superhero fashion. His Twitter account is full of incredible drawings of both Marvel Comics and DC Comics heroes with amazingly designed outfits. Wada, who's primarily a cover artist, has worked for both comic publishers. He redesigned Scarlett Witch's costume back in 2015, and worked on She-Hulk and Iceman, among his multiple Marvel contributions. Going back in Wada's catalogue to 2014, he imagined what Beyonce would look like as the X-Men Storm. On his Deviant Art page, in a sketch from Austin Wizard World 2014, Wada did a pretty great watercolor drawing of the "Lemonade" singer as Ororo Munroe. Wada said he was inspired by the singer's tourcostume.

Bey as Storm.  Pretty self explanatory.  Outfit is based off one of her tour costumes, which did originally have the tiniest bit of Storm in it's look anyway.

Wada's star has risen since the Beyonce drawing was first posted online, but even more, than five years ago, it was abundantly clear he was an incredibly talented artist. His costumes are dynamic and this Beyonce/Storm mash-up makes us want to see what the singer would look like in the role. Wada really nailed the design - it's no wonder he's continued a career with the big two.
