The new season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days has featured some intriguing new characters. Perhaps none were more polarizing then villain Geoffrey Paschel.
Geoffrey appeared on the show with soon to be fiance Varya. Varya is a Russian radio host who met Geoffrey on a dating website. This culminated in the pair meeting when Geoffrey decided to fly halfway across the world to see her. Despite initial awkwardness, the couple seemed to really click during their beginning stages. But as life exhibits, things are not always as they seem.
Geoffrey revealed certain aspects of his character such as a criminal past, including charges of drug dealing and domestic abuse, which eventually hindered his relationship with Varya. Often times he was boorish and had little respect for her or her friends and family, as in one scene Geoffrey yelled at Varya in front of her group friends. Eventually, the couple was unable to overcome Geoffrey's personality issues but it wasn't enough for Varya to feel comfortable saying yes when he proposed. After Geoffrey got down on one knee and asked Varya to spend the rest of her life with him, she replied, "Not yet." Geoffrey took that as a "no," broke up with the Russian beauty, and boarded the next plane home as a single man. However, it seems that Geoffrey didn't wait a second before getting back into the dating scene, as the preview for Sunday's episode showed him dressed up, holding flowers, and headed on a date with another woman. So who is this mystery woman?
Geoffrey is seen having a dinner date with a woman when he gets back to America, the mystery woman will be revealed during the next TLC episode. Many fans have speculated as to who this fling may be. Fans on Reddit have posted their opinions and the majority consensus seems to be Mary. Audiences were introduced to Mary at the beginning of the season when she showed up as Geoffrey's concerned friend, who was trying to talk him out of going to Russia to meet Varya. Fans will remember that she even suggested they give their romance another shot, as apparently, they two had a confusing on-again-off-again relationship. This makes Mary the perfect rebound for Geoffrey and his huge ego.
But as expected, fans are screaming warnings to whoever this mystery woman may be. Geoffrey's personality has certainly proved to be alarming, to say the least. With his megalomaniac ego and abusive personal tendencies, Geoffrey fits the psychological criteria of a sociopath. That certainly doesn't bode well for a future relationship with him. Not to mention Geoffrey's history of criminal behavior, including pending abuse charges against his exes.
He was arrested previously on drug charges and he has also had run-ins with the law from abusing past girlfriends. Even Ted Bundy didn't have this many red flags. It's amazing Geoffrey decided to expose his personality on the show, knowing how much hate he'd receive. Right now, fans are just happy that Varya decided to dodge the bullet by saying "not yet" to his proposal. So regardless of whoever is going on a date with Geoff, fans are just happy that our lovely Varya got out (nearly) unscathed.
