The first season of The Boys has already been pretty good with fans excitedly speculating how strong Homelander is by comparing him to other characters and even to Thanos! There are still many unanswered questions left for season 2, so perhaps we will know his true power later.
For now, we are only left to discuss the characters and wonder what will happen next. Here are The Boys Characters Sorted Into Their Hogwarts Houses.
10 A-Train: Hufflepuff
Almost everyone from the Seven can be called ignorant and indifferent to what is going on around them, and this ignorance is perhaps one of their biggest wrongdoings. A-Train, however, seems to take it to a whole new level.
He doesn't care at all when he kills Hughie's girlfriend. But even when you ignore the obvious negative things about him, it becomes clear that he is a Hufflepuff that could have been a good person if he tried to become one.
9 Mother's Milk: Gryffindor
Mother's Milk is one of the several good characters whose actions are always governed by good intentions which makes him a Gryffindor. Unlike Billy Butcher, the leader of the Boys, Mother's Milk doesn't need revenge and is quite reluctant to join the gang.
He has a family whom he must protect, but he also can't not join Billy. Nevertheless, Mother's Milk always tries to do what is right. He acts as a voice of reason most of the time, but there are moments when he can do something risky too.
8 Queen Maeve: Gryffindor
It was a little difficult to truly grasp what Queen Maeve is like because she doesn't appear much onscreen. She seems to be a passive character who regrets doing what she does but doesn't do anything to change it.
She has all the basic qualities of a Gryffindor in her, but she chooses not to act on her good impulses. She is an example of a powerful person who is a bystander instead of a superhero because of how she chooses to act.
7 Frenchie: Ravenclaw
Frenchie is undoubtedly one of the smartest people in the show. He is experienced and skilled which makes him an extremely valuable asset for the Boys - and a true Ravenclaw using his intelligence on a daily basis.
What's interesting is that there is some bad blood between Frenchie and Mother's Milk, so their arguments add up to the conflict in the show making the team at risk of breaking up any moment.
6 The Deep: Hufflepuff
Much like A-Train, the Deep's biggest wrongdoing is that he is ignorant of the hardships around him and only focused on himself. However, both A-Train and the Deep have things they care about.
In the case of the Deep, he wants to attract more attention to the problems of the sea and the oceans as well as their inhabitants. If only he pursued his good intentions actively, he could become a very well-natured Hufflepuff.
5 Madelyn Stillwell: Ravenclaw
If you think about it, Madelyn Stillwell is a surprisingly smart and sly character, even though her actions do lead her to her downfall and death at the hands of one of her own superheroes.
Madelyn is a very powerful person who manages to hold this power in her hands for a very long time. This was only possible because she is a Ravenclaw who knows how to find her way around different challenges.
4 Starlight: Gryffindor
There is no doubt that Starlight is a Gryffindor. After all, she might be the most innocent and good-natured character in the entire show. Her intentions are always good, but she often gets disappointed by the kind of environment the people around her create that forces her to do things she doesn't want to do.
In some sense, Starlight is the personification of what all the superheroes in The Boys universe could be. Perhaps Starlight will manage to change everything in the future seasons.
3 Hughie Campbell: Gryffindor
The reason why Starlight and Hughie are so good for each other is that they both are good people. It's true that they have their own negative sides (for example, Starlight is naive and Hughie is a bit of coward), but they are still better than many others in the show.
Like Starlight, Hughie is a Gryffindor. He finds the willpower in himself to do things that scare him a lot and he wants to have justice. He also finds a way out in challenging situations.
2 Homelander: Slytherin
There is no doubt that Homelander is a Slytherin. He is smart and sly, but his other qualities show that he isn't a Ravenclaw. Homelander is controlling, emotionless, and fake.
Throughout the show, Homelander is positioned as the main villain, but what makes this character more than just a bad guy is what we find out in the last episode of the first season.
1 Billy Butcher: Slytherin
Much like Homelander, Billy Butcher is a leader of his own team, but while Homelander wants to preserve everything as it is, Billy wants to get revenge on his supposedly dead wife. The last episode proves that the truth is different than he thinks...
Billy is a Slytherin even if he pretends to be a Gryffindor. Different characters constantly point out that he is not an entirely good guy, and if you really think about, most of his actions don't show that he could be anyone else but a Slytherin.
