People who identify with the ISFJ personality type, otherwise known as the "defenders", are known for their kindness and loyalty. Out of all the personality types, ISFJs are most likely to provide their peers with a sense of comfort and warmth due to their caring personas. Some of the most iconic Disney characters of all time seem to embody the ISFJ personality type to a T.
This is because most of our favorite Disney characters are incredibly sweet, gentle, and practical. This is especially evident when it comes to old school Walt Disney classics. With that said, here are 10 Disney characters who most significantly embody the ISFJ MBTI©!
10 CINDERELLA - CINDERELLA
Regarded as one of the most iconic Disney characters of all time, Cinderella is most certainly a person with the ISFJ personality type. In fact, if we consider a stereotypical ISFJ, our minds often race to the image of Cinderella. This is because the young princess is the embodiment of all things good and gentle.
Like most defenders, Cinderella doesn't have a mean bone in her body, even when life keeps handing her the short end of the stick. Her living situation is less than ideal, yet with a routine and a sense of duty, Cinderella is able to get by just fine due to her endless optimism. She is pretty much your quintessential ISFJ.
9 SNOW WHITE - SNOW WHITE
Similar to Cinderella, Snow White is a character who exudes warmth and compassion, even towards the people who most certainly do not deserve it. Snow prefers to see the good in all those around her which is the case for the majority of people who share this MBTI.
This is a beautiful quality to have, yet sometimes it can lead to issues considering the fact that this often makes them a little too trusting of others. Because Snow White is so quick to see the good in everyone, she sometimes puts her own safety at risk, like when she eats the poisonous apple. Yet ISFJs will pretty much do anything to satisfy others and to keep the harmony. (This type hates conflict. They'd rather eat a poisonous apple than disappoint someone.)
8 RABBIT - WINNIE THE POOH
Rabbit from Winnie The Pooh has a bunch of traits that go along with the ISFJ personality type. He is very considerate, detail-oriented, well-organized, and obsessed with keeping things neat and clean. Amongst his friend group that includes Winnie, Piglet, Eeyore, and Kanga, Rabbit likes to take a leadership role when it comes to creating organized plans.
ISFJs are great at coming up with well-crafted decisions, and his character seems to own a bunch of "defender" traits. It's hard to think where his group of pals would be without him!
7 GISELLE - ENCHANTED
Giselle from Enchanted played by the wonderful Amy Adams is someone who can most certainly be typed as an ISFJ. Giselle treats everyone with equal respect and consideration, whether it be the prince or the rats on the streets of Manhattan.
It's simply in her nature to consider everyone around her. ISFJs feel most comfortable when they are giving to others, and they will go out of their ways to make their peers happy. This is why Giselle cleans Robert's entire apartment because providing for others is what ISFJs like to do best.
6 LADY - LADY AND THE TRAMP
Lady from Lady and The Tramp represents all things gentle and kind. She is incredibly elegant, and she finds comfort in the safety of her own home with the people she loves most. Unlike The Tramp, Lady finds it a bit more difficult to adjust to his spontaneous lifestyle and adventures.
Like most ISFJs, they prefer to live a lifestyle that is more traditional as well as predictable in nature. (They tend to not like change.) Yet although this may be the case for this type, they are still able to shake things up every once in a while and embark on a wild journey if it's with the right person.
5 WENDY - PETER PAN
Wendy Darling could most certainly fit into the category of those who identify with the defender personality type. While Peter is spontaneous and often acts without taking things into heavy consideration, Wendy is practical and grounded.
If it wasn't for Wendy's sense of responsibility and civic duty, there is a good chance Peter, as well as all the lost boys, would be dead. Wendy's ISFJ persona keeps the boys in check and is pretty much the sole reason all those boys are still alive. This makes Wendy a low-key superhero, yet you wouldn't assume so because like most ISFJs she is modest and humble!
4 LITTLE BO PEEP - TOY STORY
Little Bo Peep from the Toy Story series is without hesitation an ISFJ character, embodying all the traits of the introverted, sensor, feeler, judger personality type. LBP is extremely generous, giving, and feminine which is the case for the majority of ISFJs regardless of their gender.
This personality type tends to favor traditional values, which is why Bo always wears dresses that some might find a bit dated. Yet for the ISFJ personality type, elegance never goes out of style. Despite Bo Peep being traditional and practical, she isn't opposed to going on a dangerous adventure if it's for the sake of a good cause as we can see in Toy Story 4.
3 MARLIN - FINDING NEMO
Like most people who identify with the ISFJ personality type, Marlin from Finding Nemo is an excellent parent. It's almost as though ISFJs are destined to be guardians because they are naturally warm and giving. Nemo's dad just wants what is best for his son, and he is willing to swim the entire ocean in order to track down his boy.
ISFJs will drop everything in an effort to ensure the safety and security of the people they care about most.
2 JIMINY CRICKET - PINNOCHIO
Jiminy Cricket is one of the most lovable Disney characters due to his generosity as well as his dapper attire. Seriously, this cricket has class!
Out of all the types, ISFJs seem to always be the best dressed, and Jiminy Cricket is living proof, being the underrated style icon that he is. He is also the voice of reason in the movie, and he plays the role of Pinocchio's conscience, helping him grow into a real boy. ISFJs are always going out of their way to help others even if they don't get anything in return.
1 PIGLET - WINNIE THE POOH
Piglet from Winnie the Pooh is one of the most loyal friends in the history of Disney, and there's absolutely nothing that he wouldn't do for his closest pals. Although ISFJs are introverts they tend to be extremely people-oriented and they will pay close attention to every word you say, considering it with deep importance.
ISFJs will never forget your birthday, they'll always remember your favorite dish, and they will consistently be there whenever you need them. Clearly ISFJs make for some of the greatest friends as well as people out of all 16 personality types.
