The 100: 5 Characters That Will Likely Survive the Final Season (& 5 That Likely Won’t)

Fans of The 100 know well by now that no character is safe from the showrunner's guillotine. In the very first season, viewers said goodbye to Wells, a main character in the early episodes and a main character in all three of the novels on which the show is based. The characters themselves have had to say goodbye to significant others, parents, children, best friends, and countless others as the survivors dealt with conflict after conflict, apocalypse after apocalypse.

Though the main characters have recently made a vow to "do better," and spare the lives of innocents whenever at all possible, it's doubtful that all of the show's characters will survive up to and after the series finale. Here are five characters most likely to survive the final season, and five characters least likely to survive the final season.

10 Dead: Indra

Things don't look good for the last real adult in The 100. After killing off Abby and Kane in season six, Indra is the only character left who belonged to the older generation of survivors, save for the Primes, and possibly Charmaine Diyoza. With Octavia missing (or possibly dead) and Gaia no longer a Flamekeeper, it seems like Indra may be out of people to teach—unless she takes Madi as a second. Let's hope the writers find a good way to use her character, as Indra is a fan favorite.

9 Alive: Gaia

As Indra's daughter and the last Flamekeeper, Gaia helped Octavia rule over Wonkru as Blodreina in the bunker but eventually betrayed Blodreina when Madi decided to accept the Flame. Unfortunately, Gaia lost the Flame in the season six finale after choosing Madi's life over the AI chip she worshipped as a Flamekeeper in an attempt to destroy Sheidheda.

Unfortunately, that attempt seemed to fail; the season six finale left viewers with a cliffhanger as Sheidheda seems to have uploaded himself to... somewhere. With Sheidheda on the loose, it doesn't seem likely that the writers would kill off the last Flamekeeper.

8 Dead: Octavia Blake

Though many viewers hope it isn't true, in the season six finale Octavia is stabbed by Hope Diyoza and then dissipates into a green fog as the anomaly recedes into its original position. To further seal the deal, this assassination happens after a season in which Octavia grows to fully realize the mistakes she made while ruling Wonkru.

Season six also featured the most emotionally wrenching Blake sibling scenes of the whole show, further cementing the idea that Octavia may already be dead. If she's not dead already, chances are that the audience will hear Octavia say the fated words "my fight is over," before the end of the series.

7 Alive: Madi Griffin

As the youngest member of the Griffin family, it doesn't seem likely the writers would introduce Madi in season five only to kill off Clarke's child in season seven. Though Gaia and Clarke seemed to signal to Madi in the season six finale that she was no longer Commander, Madi's character is full of uninvestigated plotlines and adventures yet to be had.

No one is safe on this show that tragically killed off young Charlotte in season one (after she killed Wells), but Madi seems safe—at least from death—in season seven. One thing is for sure: she's safe as long as her mother Wanheda is still around.

6 Dead: John Murphy

Dubbed "The Cockroach" by his friends and most cherished loved ones, John Murphy's plot has been a wild one. Regardless of how his morals seem to flip-flop or how long it took the people around him to trust him, one permanent theme in Murphy's story is his ultimate ability to survive anything.

Unfortunately, that makes his death in season seven seem even more likely. Many fans believe that Murphy will ultimately sacrifice himself to save Emori or another loved one. Technically, Murphy is currently a Prime, so, if he's your favorite character and he does die... perhaps he'll be back!

5 Alive: Emori

As a thief, as a rogue, as a survivor in exile because of a mutation and a lot of discrimination, Emori has seen a lot of strife and struggle. Despite everything, she remains to be one of the most innocent characters on the show. Unlike John, once Emori was stuck on the Arc with the rest of Spacekru, she immediately assimilates into the group.

Before taking off to space, she remarks to John that she never felt as if she had a home before and John tells her she's his home. It would be devastating if Emori never saw any real happiness before she died, so it seems like she'll survive the finale.

4 Dead: Echo

Many fans would riot if she died, but Echo's character growth seems to have stunted in seasons five and six. She's a good spy... but besides that, the only plots she's been given involve being Bellamy's girlfriend and protecting the rest of Spacekru. Recently, she became a Nightblood, and many fans believe that this will ultimately lead to her becoming Commander.

It would be fitting since she's always been extremely loyal to whichever rule she served. However, with the Flame seemingly broken and Echo's character growth frozen in place, it seems like the writers may be trying to ease the blow of her potential death in season seven.

3 Alive: Raven Reyes

Often called "The Queen of Pain" by fans of the show, Raven Reyes has been through more than any other character. She's been tortured, and she watched the love of her life fall in love with someone else and then be murdered. She lost the full function of one of her legs after being shot in the spine by John Murphy, and she even found it in herself to forgive him for the harm he caused her.

But it seems like there's a turning point coming for Raven Reyes! In his last moments, Shaw told Clarke to tell Raven she deserved happiness, which seems like foreshadowing for something good coming Raven's way.

2 Dead: Clarke Griffin

Whether Clarke Griffin survives the finale is truly up in the air. On one hand, she's been through a lot and suffered all of it for the sake of her people. Seeing her die in season seven would be absolutely tragic.

On the other hand, picturing Wanheda, the Commander of Death, actually happy and relaxed is very hard to do. Clarke spent her most formative years fighting for her life, and, just like every other warrior on the show, she has a hard time letting go of the fight, so many fans believe Clarke will make the ultimate sacrifice for her people (or all people) in the series finale.

1 Alive: Bellamy Blake

Bellamy has made a lot of allegiances since the pilot episode, but the person he's tried to support the most has to be his sister, Octavia Blake. With Octavia missing (and presumed dead or in dire circumstances) as of the season six finale in which she disappeared into the anomaly after being stabbed, it would appear Bellamy has a lot of work to do in season seven. It's unlikely the writers would rob viewers of both of Blake's siblings in the final season, so signs seem to point towards Bellamy being safe in season seven.
