Viewers tuning into the Super Bowl for the entertainment have a lot to look forward to with Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled performing in the Fox Super Bowl Pregame Show. The Pregame Show will take place on game day February 2nd, 2020 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. At 6:30 PM/EST, the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers haven't been in the Super Bowl since 1995, and the Chiefs haven't appeared since 1969, making it a monumental accomplishment for both teams. Fear not music enthusiasts, the Super Bowl game itself will also have plenty of musical guests. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez will be performing during the Halftime Show, making the 54th annual Super Bowl the first with a halftime show featuring two Latina singers.
Pregame Show performers Lovato and DJ Khaled have performed together prior to this show. The two toured together and worked together on the A Wrinkle in Time soundtrack. Lovato even looks up to DJ Khaled as a mentor and has relied on him during her struggles with sobriety. After starring in Barney and Friends, Lovato went on to become a Disney star, acting in Camp Rock, Sonny With a Chance and So Random!. Lovato eventually phased out of Disney Channel and released music on her own. She is now picking up where she left off on her singing career, as well as picking up new acting gigs including a guest starring role on Will and Grace.
The National Football League announced that Pitbull, Yolanda Adams, and Dan + Shay are also on the Pregame Show lineup in addition to Lovato and DJ Khaled. The show will also feature an exclusive interview with halftime performers Shakira and Lopez. The Pregame Show will be hosted by Curt Menefee with Fox NFL Sunday hosts and Football Hall of Fame guests Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, and Jimmy Johnson.
Pitbull and Dan + Shay will take the stage at the NFL Tailgate Tropical. DJ Khaled will be playing songs from a DJ booth as the first ever sideline performer. The songs have been pre-selected by the participating teams, and DJ Khaled will play them as the players warm up for the big game. Adams will sing "America the Beautiful" accompanied by the Children's Voice Chorus of Miami. Lovato will kick off the game singing The National Anthem.
