Just months after Keeping Up with the Kardashian star, Kylie Jenner took the internet by storm with her three-word song, "Rise and Shine," Justin Bieber performs the iconic song (more like a line) at a charity event. The two stars were there to help raise money to support help LIFT Los Angeles and Inner-City Arts.
Kylie was the 2019's surprise pop star of the year when she went viral all over the internet and social media. After Kylie released a video clip showed her entering her daughter, 20-month-old Stormi's nursery, looking down at her in her playpen and bursting into a one-line song. Since then, celebrities and fans alike have been enthralled. And after a slew of memes and merch started popping up everywhere, Kylie trademarked the phrase. Miley Cyrus parodied the moment with a meme of Jenner getting all four judges to turn for her on The Voice. Pop princess Ariana Grande even got in on the fun when she recorded a clip of herself singing the "Rise and Shine" tune with her signature vocal runs.
The 22-year-old billionaire was at the charity event to raise money to support LIFT Los Angeles and Inner-City Arts alongside Jaden Smith, Justin Bieber, his wife Hailey Baldwin, and Kylie's mom Kris Jenner. Bieber sang an acoustic rendition of "Never Say Never," "Love Yourself," and the oldie "Baby" before performing one of the biggest hits ever made - Kylie's "Rise and Shine." Some lucky audience members watched as the Biebs sang the Kylie original, see the video below:
Kylie wore a skin-tight white outfit with her black hair flipped out at the bottom, while Bieber wore a very casual hoodie and beanie. First, Bieber sang the soulful one line before he urged Kylie over to sing her pop-hit line, saying, "Do it once! Once! Once!" The shy Kylie came back to the microphone and crooned her hit for the cheering crowd. The charity art auction Bieber was hosting was curated by he and his wife Hailey.
It was a successful and very memorable evening for everyone involved. It was not only a historical moment in pop-culture a one-line collaboration that brought such mass hysteria, it was also a huge moment to give back before the holidays. It seems like this fun and singable line will be stuck in minds of both Bieber fans and Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans for all time.
