Co-host of The View and former star of The Osbournes, Sharon Osbourne is under fire after she revealed that she sent a former assistant into her burning home to save her dogs and her paintings from the flames, then later the same night fires him for not having a sense of humor. People all over are criticizing the TV personality for being callous and laughing about the horrible situation.
The 67-year-old TV personality, businesswoman and author is known for being the wife of heavy metal singer-songwriter Ozzy Osbourne. She was the matriarch of her family reality TV show, The Osbournes. The show launched her into the TV world and then after she became a talent competition shows such as The X-Factor on and off from 2004 to 2017. She also appeared on America's Got Talent from 2007 to 2012. She's also well known for her co-hosting of the daytime talk program, The Talk.
The TV personality has put herself in a sticky situation while on the BBC program, Would I Lie to You gameshow on Thursday, December 26th, when she admitted to a pretty disturbing story. She revealed that she fired an assistant for not having a sense of humor after he was forced to run back into a burning house to save her dogs and artwork. That's when the firemen showed up and after the assistant managed to save her pups from the burning home, they gave the oxygen mask to the assistant. She recalled, "So then, I said to him, 'How very dare you, you work here, and you [need to] get more paintings out now.' [Then] I took the mask [off him] and I put it on my dog." She then revealed, laughing, "After this terrible night, [the assistant] was not talking to me, and Ozzy and I were recounting everything, and we were laughing and laughing." The host continued, "Then the assistant, he goes, ‘I don’t see what’s funny about any of this.’ And he said, ‘I think I’m going to have damaged lungs,’ and I mean, please. So then, [I was like], ‘If you don’t think that’s funny, do you think this is funny? And he goes, ‘What?’ I said, 'You’re fired.'"
According to People, it didn't take long for fans all over to weigh in on the disturbing story. Twitter was set ablaze with reactions to Sharon's admission, "Sharon Osbourne really showed her true colors, didn’t she." Another commented, "Well @MrsSOsbourne has just ousted herself as a horrible person on #WILTY a PA saves your dogs from your burning house only to rip their oxygen mask and send them in to save your paintings. Then fire them for not finding the situation funny. I hope they sue for everything!"
It seems that fans are really upset with Sharon's admission to being callous and cruel. As of right now, The View co-host has yet to respond to the criticism against her.
