Spider-Man: Far From Home - Flash Thompson Freaks Out in Deleted Scene

A Spider-Man: Far From Home deleted scene reveals Flash Thompson's (Tony Revolori) freaking out video during the London battle between Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). Directed by Jon Watts, the second solo outing for MCU's version of the web-slinging hero was also the final installment of the 23-movie Infinity Saga. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the narrative brings the titular character on a European journey with his high school friends, one of which was Flash.

Debuting in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, Flash has been hostile towards Peter. Interestingly, however, he's a big fan of Spider-Man as he revealed in Far From Home. Fans know he was among those who were affected by Thanos' (Josh Brolin) deadly snap in Avengers: Infinity War, but he didn't do much in the film other than being a constant nuisance to the struggling Peter. Now, fans get to see a full deleted scene of him revealing what he was up to during the movie's final showdown between Spider-Man and Quentin Beck.

In light of Far From Home's home entertainment release, a never-before-seen clip from the movie has been released featuring Flash as he vlogged the flick's climactic battle. Rolled out through the newly-established The Daily Bugle website, the clip is accompanied by a brief implying that Mysterio was the one trying to stop the Elementals from wreaking more havoc. Watch the video below:

The clip is reminiscent of Peter's own amateur videos in Homecoming. Fans will remember that he also documented his whole Captain America: Civil War experience, and it was presented as a travel diary type. Flash, on the other hand, had been filming their whole European trip in the hopes of becoming a YouTube personality. He famously continued to record even as they were chased by Mysterio's drones in the London tower.

If the Marvel Studios and Sony split had pushed through, Flash, alongside Peter and the rest of his high school crew would've been separated from the bigger MCU. And considering that he seems to be a fan of the other Avengers as well, Flash clearly wouldn't want that. Thankfully, Marvel and Sony worked things out. With two films in, there's not much progression for his character yet, despite his long-time relationship with Peter in the comic books. But things may change in the upcoming films, with Far From Home giving fans a glimpse of what his real life is - sad and lacking attention from his parents.

Considering that Flash was filming throughout their whole time in Europe in Spider-Man: Far From Home, one wonders if any of those videos will also make their way to The Daily Bugle site. With Peter's secret superhero identity now out in the open, it's uncertain where Flash's loyalty now lies. While he likes to make fun of his high school classmate, he does like the web-slinging hero. Then again, he might also feel resentful about this since Peter technically made him look like a fool.
