Spider-Man PS4 Turf Wars DLC Reveals New Suits & Story Details

Insomniac Games have revealed new details about the next DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man. The game initially launched on September 7, 2018 and has since gotten incredible reviews - even becoming PlayStation's fastest-selling game ever. And, while an actual sequel to the first game may be in the early stages of development, Insomniac has started to release DLC's for Spider-Man.

All three DLC's go under the title The City That Never Sleeps, the first of which came out on October 23rd. The first chapter of the expansion was called Spider-Man: The Heist and revolved around Black Cat, and not only did the DLC come with a whole new story for gamers to play through, it also featured three new Spidey suits: the Resilient Suit, Scarlet Spider II, and the Spider-UK suit. Now, with the next chapter in the expansion nearing, Insomniac Games has released new information for the upcoming DLC.

On the PlayStation Blog, Insomniac Games announced Spider-Man: Turf Wars, the new DLC that will introduce the crime boss known as Hammerhead. The story for the DLC will revolve around Hammerhead fighting against other Dons of the Maggia with equipment left behind by Sable agents, and, aside from the new story missions, Spider-Man: Turf Wars will come with new bases, crimes, challenges, and trophies. The DLC will also add to the game's abundance of Spidey suits by including Spider-Armor MK I, the Spider-Clan suit, and the classic Iron Spider Armor.

While Spider-Man became the fastest-selling game for PlayStation, it also became the best selling game in September, beating out the initial sales of previous Spider-Man titles by 37 percent. PlayStation is offering a City That Never Sleeps season pass for $24.99 or the standalone DLCs for $9.99, but they also recently released a free update that added in more features for the photo-mode, an "Ultimate" difficulty, and the option to create a new game.

Despite high praise surrounding the game, some players still wish the campaign would have been longer. That being said, with the introduction of three DLCs, gamers will have the opportunity to play even more Spider-Man stories within the game. And, now that Spider-Man has been nominated for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2018 - facing off against popular titles like Read Dead Redemption 2 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey - there's even more reason to see what else the game has to offer.
