The teaser poster has arrived for IT: Chapter Two. Warner Bros.' sequel to its hit Stephen King horror novel adaptation IT picks up 27 years after the events of the first movie, as the evil Pennywise the Dancing Clown (Bill Skarsgård) resurfaces in the troubled town of Derry, Maine.
While IT has long been one of King's more popular books (thanks in part to the popular 1990s TV miniseries adaptation starring Tim Curry as Pennywise), last year's movie adaptation blew away pretty much everyone's expectations, as far as the film's box office performance goes. The film ended up grossing $700 million worldwide in theaters, which is unheard of for an R-rated supernatural horror movie about an evil clown who likes to feed on fearful children. Even better for Warner Bros., the movie was only based on half of King's original novel and left the door wide open for a sequel to adapt the rest of the story. IT: Chapter Two, as it's titled, is now well on its way to finishing production ahead of its theatrical release next September.
