Castlevania season 2, back its acclaimed cast of voices as well as some new arrivals. Adapted from the long-running Konami video game series of the same name, Castlevania has been another strong addition to Netflix's ever-expanding roster of animated series. The anime-inspired vampire drama spent a long time in development hell before reaching the small screen, courtesy of legendary comics writer Warren Ellis. The series combines the visual style of the 1997 game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night with the works of anime director Satoshi Kon, the series Cowboy Bebop and Berserk, and the manga for Blade of the Immortal. But Castlevania itself is an American production through and through, courtesy of Frederator Studios.
Season 2 of Castlevania expands on the first season, which premiered last July, with more episodes and a greater focus on the battle between monster hunter Trevor Belmont and his war with the almighty vampire himself, Dracula. There are more episodes (season 2 has eight episodes in total, compared to season 1's four), more characters, and more twists and turns. If the first season felt rushed to some, Castlevania season 2 feels thematically richer as well as an overall more satisfying experience. Indeed, in the admittedly paltry competition for best video game adaptation, Castlevania is a serious contender for the top spot.

For everyone who loved season 1, all the fan favorites are back, and they’re joined by some new voices that expand the roster of characters. Here’s everyone you’ll meet in Castlevania season 2.
Castlevania Season 2’s Main Voice Cast
Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont: The last living member of the Belmont clan, Trevor is the frequently drunk and lone monster hunter left to take on the scourge of Dracula. Despite his skills, his family's reputation precedes him and he is seen as a public disgrace for it.
Graham McTavish as Dracula: Perhaps the most iconic vampire in pop culture history, Castlevania’s version of Dracula has sworn vengeance on humanity after his human wife Lisa was burned at the stake as a witch by the clergy. He summons an army of monsters and demons to overrun and annihilate the people of Wallachia.
James Callis as Alucard: The son of Dracula and Lisa Țepeș, Adrian Țepeș, better known as Alucard (read it backwards) is a dhampir (a creature born of a union between a vampire and human) who seeks to protect humanity from his father's wrath. He teams up with Trevor and Sypha to take on the vampires.
Matt Frewer as The Bishop: A zealous and power hungry clergyman who has Dracula's wife burned at the stake as a witch. After Dracula killed the Archbishop of Gresit, he took over the position. Dracula's army slaughtered him at the end of season one but we didn't see the last of him.
Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades: A Speaker - one of a group of magic users who has been run underground by the church - with immense power who befriends and becomes a powerful ally to Trevor.
Emily Swallow as Lisa Țepeș: Dracula's beloved wife, a scientist who sought out the vampire for his advanced knowledge before falling in love with him. Lisa was burned at the stake as a witch by the Bishop, but the series flashes back frequently to her time alive.
Castlevania Season 2’s New Voice Cast
Jaime Murray as Carmilla: A scheming vampire mistress who joins Dracula in his war against humans, although her political machinations reveal questionable loyalties and cynicism towards his plans.
Peter Stormare as Godbrand: A barbarian vampire warlord called upon to serve Dracula in the battle against Wallachia. Godbrand lives for the thrill of the hunt and does not take kindly to being told to obey the others of Dracula’s chosen human generals.
Theo James as Hector: A Devil Forgemaster - a human with dark art training who has the ability to create demonic creatures – called upon to serve Dracula in his war against humanity. He and Isaac have both turned against their own kind and are called upon to lead Dracula’s army against Wallachia.
Adetokumboh M'Cormack as Isaac: The other Devil Forgemaster and partner of Hector, who helps to lead Dracula’s army.
