Netflix is getting in the Halloween spirit with its TV lineup for the 2018 New York Comic Con in October, with a roster that includes brand-new series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and The Haunting of Hill House. The streaming service will further highlight the second season of its popular animated "hormone horror" show Big Mouth during the event and - as was reported earlier this week - will join forces with Marvel TV to unveil footage from the upcoming Daredevil season 3.
The festivities begin at the Javits Convention Center on Friday, October 5 (from 4-5 p.m. in Room 1A06), with a Big Mouth panel featuring a season 2 episode live-read performed by series voice actors Nick Kroll, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas and John Mulaney. Later that night (from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on the Mainstage), the company will host Netflix & Chills: a spooky-themed event spotlighting brand-new Netflix series like Chilling Adventures and its fellow fantasy comic book adaptation The Umbrella Academy. Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka is starring as Sabrina (the Teenage Witch) in the former, with Ellen Page leading the latter as the super-powered Vanya.

Netflix & Chill will further shine a light on two very different upcoming limited series: The Haunting of Hill House adaptation by Oculus and Gerald's Game director Mike Flanagan and The Dark Crystal: The Age of Resistance, a quasi-prequel to Jim Henson's cult 1982 fantasy adventure from the Jim Henson Company. Marvel's Daredevil season 3 panel will round things out thereafter on Saturday, October 6, from 1:30-2:45 p.m. at The Theatre in Madison Square Garden.
Shipka, Page, and the Big Mouth voice cast will be joined by several other high-profile actors and creatives during Netflix's NYCC 2018 TV events. The roster includes Chilling Adventures creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (who's also the showrunner for Riverdale), Umbrella Academy costar Mary J. Blige, Haunting of Hill House actors Michiel Huisman and Elizabeth Reaser, and Dark Crystal: The Age of Resistance overseers Lisa Henson and Louis Leterrier (who is directing every episode). Daredevil season 3 showrunner Erik Oleson will also be attending the event, along with the show's longtime cast (Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Vincent D'Onofrio, and so on).
TV typically dominates NYCC and that should remain the case in 2018, by the look of things. Netflix's own television game is going strong as ever right now and its 2018 fall release slate (along with titles like The Age of Resistance, which is expected to premiere in 2019) reads as quite promising, on paper. Those who are attending the 'Con this year - and are eager to get their Halloween game on as soon as possible - will certainly want to try and attend Netflix's panels, for that very reason.
