Square Enix has revealed that Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend is coming to PC and mobile later this year, meaning that it won't be a Nintendo Switch exclusive for much longer. This is the second time Square has made one of its Switch exclusives multiplatform over the past few days, as Bravely Default 2 is coming to Steam next week.
A new trailer on the official Square Enix YouTube page has revealed that Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend is coming to Android and iOS devices on September 22, and is coming to Steam on October 21. The game contains the first three entries in the SaGa series, which were released for the original Game Boy. These games were localized as the Final Fantasy Legend trilogy outside of Japan, hence the name.
Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend has a few QoL improvements, such as a speed toggle and autosave features. Those who are interested in purchasing the collection should remember that these are old games that were released for a system with limited hardware capabilities, so those expecting the beauty and grand scope of the later SaGa games should lower their expectations. The games were great for their time, but some aspects of their design have aged poorly. Still, the ports of these vintage RPGs should be exciting for nostalgic fans.
