Actor and Death Stranding star Norman Reedus has sparked new hope for a Silent Hill revival after sharing a video of himself and Robbie the Rabbit on Instagram. Robbie is a mascot familiar to fans of Silent Hill, who will recognize the pink rabbit from across the series following his introduction in Silent Hill 2.
This isn't the first time Norman Reedus has been connected to the Silent Hill IP. The star was set to star in the Hideo Kojima-headed Silent Hills before its cancellation by publisher Konami. Following the project's demise, Reedus and Kojima partnered for the release of Kojima Production's Death Stranding, which stars the actor as protagonist Sam Bridges. Rumors of a new addition to the Silent Hill franchise have been rife since Silent Hills' cancellation, with some rumors claiming Bloober Team is developing a Silent Hill game.
Now, Norman Reedus has added fuel to Silent Hill speculation in a new Instagram video showing the actor alongside Robbie the Rabbit. The short video loop shows Reedus dressed as a skeleton, simply captioned: "G'nite." While the creepy video (which contains flashing images) is certainly unnerving, it's particularly interesting that Reedus selected a Silent Hill figure as his co-star for the clip. Fans have quickly begun to speculate that Reedus is teasing his participation in an unannounced Silent Hill game - perhaps the unconfirmed title still believed to be in development with Bloober despite being debunked by the developer.

Unfortunately, the video doesn't appear to include any hidden clues or hints as to its meaning. It's possibly just Reedus pulling a prank and teasing his fanbase, though Silent Hill players are hopeful it's something more meaningful. If a new Silent Hill game is in production, it's not known whether it would be a revival of Silent Hills (which would perhaps reintroduce Norman Reedus to the game) or if it would be an entirely new game, remake, or remaster.
Bloober Team is known for its horror games, which include titles like The Blair Witch Project, Layers of Fear, and The Medium. The Medium, which launched earlier this year as a timed Xbox console exclusive, drew many comparisons to early Silent Hill games, with some concluding a Silent Hill game would be a natural next step for the studio. The developer working on a new Silent Hill isn't outside of the realm of possibility, especially as Bloober Team has officially announced a partnership with Konami, the owner of the Silent Hill IP. The developer hasn't confirmed or denied reports it's handling Silent Hill, leaving fans to continue their speculations on the series' future, and the potential inclusion of Norman Reedus.
